Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Guardians and protectors to their allies, Watchdogs serve to put themselves on the line for those they care about. Most of them are not adverse to pain and can quite often take a beating better than most. Loyal and unfaltering, these warriors make for excellent bodyguards.

Challenger's Gaze

Starting at 3rd level, you learn to goad foes into fighting you head on. As a bonus action during your turn, you can gaze or glare at a creature within 60 feet of you that you can see. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature feels compelled to fight you and has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you for 1 minute. If you attack or cast a spell at another creature or if the creature takes damage from a source other than you, the creature can repeat it's saving throw, ending the effects of this feature on a successful save. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier and regain expended uses when you complete a short or long rest. The DC for this feature is equal to 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency modifier.

Guardian's Will

At 3rd level, you learn to protect yourself and your allies with your inner resolve. When you or an ally within 5 feet of you takes damage from another creature, as a reaction, you can reduce the damage by 1d10 + your fighter level. If this feature reduces the damage dealt to 0, you have advantage on the next attack you make against the source of the damage. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier and regain expended uses when you complete a long rest.

Bruiser's Punishment

At 7th level, you learn to channel your resolve into raw strength. When you use your Second Wind feature, you gain a bonus to the next damage roll you make within the next minute equal to the amount of hit points regained.

Selfless Protector

At 10th level, you learn to protect your allies from a longer distance and you are able to counter those who strike out at you. You can use your Guardian's Will feature on allies up to 10 feet away from you that you can see. Additionally, when you reduce damage to 0 with Guardian's Will, in addition to gaining advantage on the next attack you make against the source of the damage, as part of Guardian's Will, you can move up to half of your movement speed towards the creature and make a weapon attack against it.

Unbreakable Watchdog

When you reach 15th level, you better hone your endurance. When you use your Guardian's Will feature, if the attacker is under the effects of your Challenger's Gaze, you gain resistance against all damage dealt by the triggering attack.

Heart of Steel

When you reach 18th level, you become an unflinching protector to those around you and are prepared at all times. You gain resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. Additionally, when you roll initiative, if you have no remaining uses of Challenger's Gaze or Guardian's Will, you regain one use of each feature.
