Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Pugilist have dedicated their lives to learning how to make their bodies into lethal weapons. They have learned how to move and strike faster and harder than most creatures and use every inch of their bodies in combat.
Hard Puncher
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn how to use your unarmed strikes to the maximum of their effectiveness when fighting unarmed. When you make an unarmed strike and are holding no objects, your martial arts die increases by one size, and you can add half of your proficiency bonus (rounded down) to the damage roll.
Knockout Punch
At 6th level, you gain the ability to put extra strength behind your punches. When you make an unarmed attack you can spend ki points to increase the damage of your attack, the extra damage is equal to a number of your martial arts die equal to the number of ki points used.
Float Like a Butterfly
Beginning at 11th level, you learn how to throw your punches and dodge attacks at incredible speeds. When you use your Flurry of Blows, Patient Defense or Step of the Wind you can spend a Ki point to improve upon them.
- When you use Flurry of Blows you can make one additional unarmed strike
- When you use Patient Defense you can use your reaction to make an unarmed strike against a creature that misses you with a melee attack roll.
- When you use Step of the Wind action you now take both the Disengage and the Dash actions.
Sting Like a Bee
At 17th level, you gain the ability to have inhuman precision with the fastest of attacks. When you take the Attack action on your turn you can choose to spend 5 ki points, if you do so all your unarmed strikes until the start of your next turn now score a critical hit on a roll of 16-20.
In addition, once per turn when you score a critical hit you regain 1 ki point.
