Monks that follow the Way of the Ninja are a class that fights in darkness. This lives in hidden villages in places almost inaccessible to normal people. They train in the dark ninja arts and when they reach a certain level they leave their community to hone their ninja arts callet Jutsu. Jutsu are separated into three groups, taijutsu, genjutsu, and ninjutsu.

Taijutsu (meaning: Body Techniques) is a basic form of techniques and refers to any techniques involving the martial arts or the optimisation of natural human abilities. Taijutsu is executed by directly accessing the user's physical and mental energies, relying on the stamina and dexterity or strength gained through training. It typically does not require Ki, though ki may be used to enhance its techniques.

Genjutsu (meaning: Illusionary Techniques) is one of the main jutsu categories which uses Ki. Unlike ninjutsu, the effects of genjutsu are not real, being only sensory illusions experienced by those who fall victim to it. A genjutsu is created when a ninja controls the Ki flow of a target's cerebral nervous system, thereby affecting their five senses; this is frequently used to create false images and/or trick the body into believing its has experienced physical pain.

Ninjutsu implies performing a supernatural or beyond normal ability, such as causing insidious effects through ki during your Taijutsu attacks, creating shadowy weapons like the Shurikenjutsu or making Kage Bunshin no Jutsu almost real.

 

Way of Genjutsu

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to perform the Genjutsu spells. By the ki power controlled by a complex system of hand seals, the ninja is able to manifest the desired technique.

In order to learn how to use the Genjutsu, the ninja invented a technique to accumulate ki power in a seal on their forehead. This seal is called Infūin and is shaped like a symbol that represents their clan or village (choose the symbol).

With the increase of the years and the continuous increase of ki power in the sigil, besides as allowing you new Genjutsu art, this seal can transmits special powers to its user, such as an enhancement of its special attack, defense and baility performans (with up to 3 different powers). Only the Game Master decides when the ninja has accumulated enough ki to receive any strengthening, the type of power is up to the Game Master's choice.

Since the seal is a concentrate of Ki, this power is in contrast with any kind of power that is not of ki origin. This results in the inability of the ninja to use any magical items.

Taijutsu and Bukijutsu

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your special martial arts training leads you to master the use of insidius unarmed attacks and the use of the ninja weapons.

Shuriken (dart) and Kunai (dager) are now monk weapons for you.

Whenever you use the flurry of blow and you hit a creature, you can aim your target’s arm, leg, chest, or head, and impose one of the follow effects on that target:

• Head: It must make a Dexterity saving throw. If its fails it has disadvantage the next saving throw it makes before the end of its next turn
• Arm: It must make a Strenght saving throw. If its fails it has disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn
• Leg: Its movement speed is reduced by 10 feet until the end of its next turn
• Chest: It can’t take reactions until the start of its next turn

Only one effect can be used per enemy.

 

Shurikenjutsu

At 6rd level, you gain the ability to weave together threads of shadow to create shurikens (dart) or kunais (dagger) of solidified gloom in your hands.

This shadow weapons counts as ranged monk weapon. They deals the monk weapon + 1d4 psychic damage on a hit and has the finesse, light, and thrown properties (range 20/60).

In addition, when you use this weapons to attack a target that is in dim light or darkness, you can use 1 ki power to make advantage attacks this turn.

If you drop the weapon or throw it, it dissipates at the end of the turn.

Thereafter, you can use yuor reaction to cause the weapons to reappear in your hands.

 

Flurry of black Stars

At 11th level, your skill with the shadow weapons improves to such an extent that you can now use the Shurikenjutsu skill instead of your unarmed attacks and this with your flurry of blows as well.

Your flurry of blow attacks increses to two at 11th level and three at 17th level.

 

Infūin: Kai

At 17th level, your understanding of Infūin is enhanced to the point that you can release some of the sigil's energy to empower yourself for a limited time.

As a bonus action, you can release some of the sigil's energy to assume a shadow form, which grants you the following benefits:

• The shadow weapons in this form are more powerfull, now they deals 2d4 + martial arts die psychic damage, and in dim light or darkness, you make the attacks roll with advantage without using a ki power
• You can choose to use your stunning strike as a Genjutsu, the target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or being trapped in your Genjutsu until the end of your next turn.
• You can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. You take 5 force damage if you end your turn inside an object
• When you activate this form and are using your Kage Bunshin no Jutsu in sensory mode, your clone overcomes the concept of illusion. Thanks to your ability to weave strands of shadow to create shuriken, you can now do this with your clone giving it an almost tangible body. The clone has a quarter of the life of the original body, if it takes more of this damage it disappears, it can carry a maximum of 10 pounds (4.5kg), and it can use the Shurikenjutsu and attack like the original body.
