Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

This Path is meant to capitalize on a Barbarian's ability to take damage and hit back just as hard. The lower a character with this path gets in health, the harder they will hit. Its up the the player to decide whether to risk it for more damage, or heal up and "reset".

This subclass was heavily inspired by the Reaver subclass from the Dragon Age series of games. Intellectual Property belongs to them.

Ring of Pain

Beginning at 3rd level when you choose this Primal Path, your rage grants you an aura. This aura extends up to 10 feet from you in every direction, but will not pass through total cover. When you Rage, choose a number of targets inside this aura equal to your Proficiency Bonus. They must make a Wisdom saving throw( DC 8 + Proficiency Bonus + Strength Mod), or become Frightened of you for the duration of your rage. Upon a successful save, the enemy is immune to the effects for 24 hours. If you are below half health, this save is made at disadvantage, and the fear can affect enemies that passed the save previously. (This aura bypasses Immunity to Frightened)

Blood Frenzy

At 6th level your Ring of Pain gains an additional effect. Enemies under its frightening effects take an additional 1d6 necrotic damage on each attack. If you are below half health, this damage increases to 2d6.

Devour

At 10th level you gain the ability to rip into your enemies life force, drawing on it to heal yourself. While raging you may choose to take an Action to make an unarmed strike against a creature. A spectral dragon claw superimposes itself over your hand, causing the attack to do 1d12+ Strength Mod necrotic damage. You heal for half of the damage dealt. If you are below half health, heal for the full amount of damage.

Dragon’s Rampage

At 14th level your body has fully accepted the dragon’s blood. While raging you can launch into a series of 2 Unarmed Attacks using your Action, and can continue with a 3rd Attack on your Bonus Action if you choose. These attacks hit hard, but drain your own health with each strike. Each Attack deals 3d12+Strength Modifier necrotic damage. If the attack misses, or used in combination with Reckless Attack, you take half your proficiency modifier in returned damage. This returned damage ignores resistances, as you choose to injure yourself to inflict the damage.
