Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of One Hand Clapping is a college focusing on the charismatic effects of objects and structures around them, as opposed to people. They produce this power through a single hand as their catalyst to clap, slap and smack in both supportive and hazardous ways.

Bards of this college usually go on to become extremely successful business and trade partners as well as owners. Their ability to draw the eyes to an object, or keep it secluded and to themselves, makes for powerful environmental control on the battlefield as well as efficient and orthodox manipulations of spells and time.

Slapperific Inspiration

Bard: *slaps Barbarian* "This baby can fit so much Rage in him!"

When you join the College of One Hand Slapping at 3rd level, your inspiration becomes more boisterous when used in a physical manner. When gifting inspiration to a creature within 5 ft. of you, you grant the use of this inspiration a bonus to its rolled value equal to your Charisma (Performance) modifier (minimum of +1).

Object of Obsession

"Had to beat an old lady with a stick to get this thing."

Also at 3rd level, you learn to harness your magic through objects and cause additional effects this way. When casting a spell that has a single target on an object, you may cause an additional effect from this spell to a creature within 60 ft. of the object from the list below:

  • The creature must succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or become Charmed by the object for 30 seconds and, whilst Charmed in this way, the creature must use all of its available movement to be as close to the object as possible and remain next to it. A creature Charmed by this effect may attempt the Wisdom saving throw to stop the effect at the end of each of its turns.
  • The creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or the target has disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks made to perceive the object for 30 seconds. The effect ends early if you are incapacitated or the object is destroyed.
  • The object takes on an illusionary, subtle change within the DMs discretion. For example, a wooden box may take the appearance of a wooden chest. If a creature uses its action to examine the object, the creature can determine that it is an illusion with a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. If a creature discerns the illusion for what it is, the illusion becomes faint to the creature.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.

"I SAWED THIS BOAT IN HALF."

At 6th level, you learn to discount the required time for certain spells. When casting a spell with a casting time over 1 action/bonus action (EG 1 minute, 1 hour, 8 hours) you may do so within half the time. For example, when casting Legend Lore it will only take 5 minutes to cast as oppose to 10 minutes.

Entrepreneur

"Let's ask the audience."

Starting at 14th level, when you use your Object of Obsession feature you can target a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier with the effects.
