Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Beastmaster, also known as Trainer or Mediator, are characterized by wearing clothing similar to one who works with animals. Beastmasters have been known to use weapons from daggers to axes to whips. Their stats are usually physical in nature and their abilities include the ability to catch monsters and release them on their opponents, and can also control the actions of opponents and lure them away.

Beastmasters focus primarily on using caught monsters for various tactical advantages, each caught creature fills into one of five roles: Attack, Defense, Support, Magic, or Pet. A Beastmaster unlocks the ability to capture one of each type of creature (A, D, S, M) at level 3, creating a mystical binding of loyalty between them and their captured creature. A Beastmaster can only capture a creature that has a Challenge Rating that is half (rounded up) the Beastmaster's level. Any captured  creature is contained in a special demi-plane where they are kept in a sort of stasis.

A Beastmaster is able to summon these creatures for one minute, with an action, four times per long rest, during this time they act on their own initiative and attempt to fulfill their designated roles (while also following the Beastmaster's orders whenever possible). Creatures inside this demi-plane do not heal, but also do not starve or take damage, the creatures can only be healed once out of the demiplane. During a long rest all creatures inside a Beastmaster's demi-plane are able to exit as long as the Beastmaster is refraining from strenuous activity (in the cases of an interrupted long rest, creatures will be shunted back into the Beastmaster's demi-plane).

The Beastmaster is also able to capture a number of creatures under the "pet" category equal to half their level +CHA modifier. Pets are incapable of participating in combat, in the case of combat starting abruptly a Pet will be shunted back into the Beastmaster's demi-plane.

Creatures captured by a Beastmaster are able to be released at anytime, after this is done the binding making them loyal is broken and they will run away (and in some cases become hostile). Creatures (non-pets) that are captured before a Beastmaster levels up will gain the Beastmaster's CHA modifier as ability points that can be added to any ability scores to improve their effectiveness according to the Beastmaster's wishes.
