Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Last Dragon learn to channel their own life energy into their fists, emanating a radiant from their body. They teach that meditation and training can reach the ultimate level where mind, body, and soul can be one. Then, and only then will they reach the glow

Radiant Strike

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your unarmed strikes gain a radiant glow right before impact. Upon striking a target with an unarmed strike, you can choose to spend 1 ki point to add another1d4 worth of Radiant damage. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts Column of the Monk table.

Like the Divine Smite ability of the Paladin, this can be added on after the confirmation of a hit/critical.

After Image

At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel your ki throughout your body, causing after images that distort and shift your image to all who can see you. As an action, you can cast the spell Blur.

You can spend 2 ki points to cast cast this spell as a bonus action instead.

Divine Reflexes

At 11th level, your mind has reached a level of knowing without knowing. After an opponent misses a melee attack/touch spell against you, you can spend 1 ki point to strike once without using a reaction. This can be used on legendary actions as well, but must only target you.

The Glow

At 17th level, you gain the ability to wreathe yourself in a brilliant, glowing aura. You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius, and dim light for an additional 30 feet. You can extinguish or restore the light as a bonus action.

While active, you can use your spend an extra ki point on Radiant Strike to do one of two options:

  • Add an additional Martial Arts Die of Radiant Damage to your strike.
  • Upon a confirmed strike, the creature emits a dim glow of their own, granting advantage on the next strike against them.

While active, you may cast the spell Faerie Fire as an action within the 30-foot radius of Bright light around you. You can spend a ki point to use this ability as a reaction.
