Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Doom Knight is known for their use of heavy armor coupled with mastery of sword, spear, shield or any other martial weapon in use. Though this is not the only aspect the have access too, they also can dip into magic to supplement their combat skills making them an even more dangerous foe to face. Elite and few in number, Doom Knights seldom choose to fight for the sake of the fight, only when honor demands such a task be undertaken. Beware the Doom Knight should you face one, as their retribution is swift and exact.

Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you augment your martial prowess with the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the wizard, Sorcerer, and Warlock spell lists.

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips of your choice from the wizard, Sorcerer, or Warlock spell list, with the exception of Eldritch Blast. You learn an additional cantrip of your choice at 5th, 10th, and 15th levels.

Spell Slots

To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest. You may also use a Ruinic Charge to cast any of these spells in place of the Spell Slot (only one Ruinic Charge may be spent per turn this way.)

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell shield and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast shield using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level wizard spells of your choice, two of which you must choose from the spells on the wizard, Sorcerer, or Warlock spell list.

The Spells Known column of the Doom Knight Spellcasting table shows when you learn more spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level can come from any school of magic.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the spells you know with another spell of your choice from the wizard, sorcerer, or warlock spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you.

Spellcasting Ability

Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your spells, since you learn your spells through study and memorization. You use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a wizard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

- Studying Ruinic Lore Texts and Tomes will also grant another Ruinic Charge.

At the 3rd level you gain access to 3 Ruinic Charges. At levels 7, 11, 16, 20 you gain an additional Ruinic Charge. You regain all expended Ruinic Charges during a Long Rest.

Ruin's Gift

When you hit the creature with a cantrip, it's Armor Class is reduced equal to your proficiency bonus until the end of your next turn.

Arcane Charge

At 15th level, you gain the ability to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see when you use your Action Surge. You can teleport before or after the additional action.

Improved Ruin's Gift
