Base Class: Artificer
“I can spot within the first 15 minutes of a young chef in the kitchen whether they’re passionate. Cooking with their eyes, their left and right hand side, their posture, holding the knife, excitement and developing the palate. Chefs are nutters. They’re all self-obsessed, delicate, dainty, insecure little souls, and absolute psychopaths. Every last one of them. Initially, let your food do the talking. You’ll be surprised how far you go in a short period of time. "
- Gordo Ramsa, The First Cuisinier
For decades, Artifice has been a craft unto itself. Items imbued with magic have been across the world since we could control the weave, and now, you have combined your love of food with your love of engineering. Just as a blacksmith enchants a crafted sword, you imbue your magic into your food. Whether you turn the food into bombs, magical healing, or dangerous poisons, you have the most effective ingredients, to make the most potent, and most edible magic.
Miraculous Meal
Using your talents, you can imbue food with a spell that you know and as soon as the food is consumed, the spell imbued will be cast either targeting, or centred on who or whatever ate it. You can use this ability up to 5 times per long rest. You cannot have more than 3 + Your Intelligence Modifier (Min. 1).
When you create a Miraculous Meal make a spell attack roll. This roll + 5 will decide how difficult it is to spot a spell hidden in a miraculous meal if someone chooses to investigate your food.
Smoothie
After a great time of experimenting, you've realize not everyone can be coerced into eating your foods. Sometimes you have to force it into them however you need to. You can now liquidize your spells, and do whatever you would do with a normal liquid; tip arrows with it, drink it, force others to drink it, throw the liquid on others, and anything else. Creating a smoothie takes up a slot of your miraculous meals.
Secret Recipes
Now that you are an experienced Cuisinier, you have developed your very own secret recipes, with species ingredients. You can alter the effects of spells in your food to suit your needs, by using the table below:
| You can change healing effects to damaging effects. A healing effect changed to a damaging effect requires a Constitution save equal to 8 + your proficiency modifier + your spell ability modifier to succeed. | You can change damaging effects to healing effects. A damaging effect changed to a healing effect requires a Constitution save equal to 17 + your proficiency modifier - your level, whether the consumer has consented or not. | You can change the type of damage your food deals. You can choose between: acid, cold, fire, lightning, and poison. | You can hide the spell, and make spotting a Miraculous Meal harder, adding +10 to the required perception check. |
Applying a Secret Recipe uses an extra charge of Miraculous Meals.
Combination Cooking
Feeling you have mastered your craft, you are now ready to make some risks in the kitchen. You can now put two spells into your dishes. This takes up multiple spell slots when you create the dish, but only one use of Miraculous meals.
