Monk
Base Class: Monk

"Atop the Ikaria Mountains, on the highest point on all of Astrea, sits a monestary. At this point, on top of the world, the monks in the Starlight Monestary found a connection more to the celestial bodies above them than those who walked the land below the clouds"

- Zephyr Windwalker, Captain of the Cloudhopper

The Monks that follow the Way of the Stars use their studies of the stars and constellations to empower their attacks. These powers are scarcely seen outside of the of residence of the mountaintop monestary, but those who have seen them describe people walking round with star-like lights that float around their body.

Floating Stars

3rd-level Way of the Stars feature

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your ki materialises into motes of starlight, which float around you. You have a number of these motes equal to your current number of ki points, which gives off 5 feet of bright light and an additional 5 feet of dim light. As a bonus action, you can cause these motes to dim or brighten, when they are dimmed, the motes don't give off any light, and when brightened the range extends to 10 feet of bright light and 10 feet of dim light.

Constellation Form

3rd-level Way of the Stars feature

You can use your ki to empower yourself with the power of the celestial bodies.

As a bonus action on your turn you can absorb two of your motes of starlight into your body and enter the constellation form. Entering this form costs 2 ki points and lasts for 1 minute.

When in constellation form, attacks with your monk weapons and unarmed strikes deal additional radiant damage equal to your martial arts die.

You exit the constillation form early if you are incapacitated or die, you may also choose to end this form early with a bonus action.

Starlight Step

6th-level Way of the Stars feature

You've now been able to use your observation of the stars to traverse around them.

While in constellation form, you have a flying speed equal to your movement speed.

Shooting Star

You now have greater control over your motes of starlight, and can now use them to cause damage to your enemies

As an action on your turn, you may use a ki point to make a ranged spell attack using your Wisdom with one of your motes of starlight. On a hit, the target takes 2d10 plus your wisdom modifier in radiant damage. This damage increases to 2d12 at 17th level.

You may still use your martial arts and flurry of blows features after taking this action.

Supernova/Blackhole

Your your studies of the cosmos have born their ultimate fruit.

When you reach 17th level, you can choose either the power of Supernova or Black Hole.

Using your action, you can spend ki points and active the powers of the Supernova or Black Hole, depending on which ability you choose when you take this feature.

Once you've use'd this feature, it cannot be used until you've finished a short or long rest.

Black Hole

You can spend 2 ki to cause a wave of gravity to errupt from you in a 30ft radius as an action. Any creature, excluding yourself, within the radius must make a dexterity saving throw against your ki save DC and takes 3d12 plus your Wisdom modifier magical bludgeoning damage, is pulled 10 ft towards you and is knocked prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage, and is not pulled or knocked prone.

You can spend additional ki points up to half of your remaining points to increase the damage by 1d12 per ki point, or pull a creature an additional 5 feet per ki point.
