Druid
Base Class: Druid

The Circle of Serpents is made up of people with a fascination for snakes, and the strange powers that lie within them. These druids form societies in massive tunnels, or live in normal society. Leaders are generally the most knowledgeable people in their tribes about snakes and snake-like creatures. As a member of this circle, your magic is themed around snake-like creatures.

Serpent Tricks

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you learn the Poison Spray Cantrip. In addition, due to your knowledge of venom and connection to the power of snakes, it no longer requires a saving throw.

Serpent Shape

Starting at 2nd level, your Wild Shape is altered. Whichever creature you choose, you now appear as a snake of the same size as that creature, with features from said creature. As a snake, you have advantage on stealth checks. You have all the same abilities, with the exception of things requiring limbs other than wings. These are replaced with a bite attack doing the same amount of damage. All melee attacks do an extra 2d6 Poison damage in Wild Shape.

Circle Spells

Your mystical affinity with serpents infuses you with the ability to cast certain spells. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to circle spells connected to serpents and snake magic.

Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
