Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Blood is, at its core, the center of all life on the material plane. Yours however, whether it's hereditary, cursed, or infused, is magical and grants you abilities the likes of which have rarely been seen.

Talk to your DM about your personal connection to your blood line and possibly about your blood being sentient

Sanguine Guard

As you enter a rage your blood boils and rises to the surface of your skin, creating a crimson red armor of your design. While not wearing armor you gain the following benefits from your Sanguine Guard.

  • You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of +1)
  • You may forgo the bonus to AC for the rest of the round to trigger one of your Scarlet Sacrifices as an action without sacrificing HP
  • You may forgo the bonus to AC for the rest of the round to negate the activation cost of Bound By Blood.

Scarlet Sacrifice

Your blood is considered a curse but can also be a blessing. You gain the ability to call forth on your blood to utilize it in gruesome ways by sacrificing your own life force.

  • As an action you can trigger a Scarlet Sacrifice by taking damage according to the ability triggered. This damage cannot be reduced in any way except by utilizing your Sanguine Guard as the source of blood used in the sacrifice.
  • You gain new Sacrifices at 6th, 10th, and 14th level.
  • Starting at 14th level you can engorge your sacrifices with more blood triggering an additional effect.

Bound By Blood

They say you should think of your weapon as an extension of yourself. Well, your blood is an extention too.

Starting at 6th level you can use a bonus action to summon tendrils from your body made out of your life blood. These can be summoned on the same time you start your rage.

  • By Sacrificing 1d4 Hp per tendril you can summon an amount of these tendrils equal to your proficiency bonus (This damage can be negated by forgoing your AC bonus from Sanguine Guard for this round)
  • Each Tendril has a reach of 10 x prof bonus
  • As a bonus action you can use all available tendrils to make a melee attack (1d4 x available tendrils)
  • As a bonus action you may command your tendrils to tether itself to a creature (living or dead) to gain access to additional features.

Superior Sanguine

Starting at 6th level your control over your curse has strengthened. Allowing you to share your bloods beneficial abilities with those bound to you.

  • While you are tethered to creatures you have the option to transfer your Sanguine Guard between all those connected to you as a bonus action. Allowing them to benefit from its AC bonus.
  • While your Sanguine Guard is active on another creature you can no longer use it to negate the cost of a Scarlet Sacrifice unless the Sacrifice originates from its current wielder.
  • If your Sanguine Guard is Sacrificed while worn by another creature, it regenerates on you.

Pure is the Blood

No matter the impurities, your blood refuses to be tainted.

  • Starting at level 10 the Blood Rager gains Immunity to Poisons and Diseases.
  • Those Tethered to the Blood Rager may also benefit from this ability.

Symbiotic Relationship

Starting at 10th level your connection to your blood has reached a new height allowing for more control.

  • When you fail to hit with one of your Scarlet Sacrifices, your blood instinctually returns to your body. Negating the damage delt from the initial Sacrifice.
  • When a creature is benefiting from your Sanguine Guard it brings out their inner strength, allowing them to add your Constitution Modifier to the damage rolls of all melee attacks.
  • If you have at least 2 free Tendrils, you gain a climbing speed equal to 10 x Proficiency Bonus. While using your Tendrils in this manner you can climb walls and ceilings without fail. If you use either of these Tendrils for anything else you lose your climb speed and fall.
  • You blood senses things you cannot, you gain blind sight of 5ft within range of your tendrils.

Engorged Sacrifices

Starting at 14th level you can Engorge your sacrifices with more blood to strengthen its effect.

  • By suffering the damage delt by one of your Scarlet Sacrifices a second time your Sacrifice gains an additional effect. This cannot benefit from the damage reduction gained by sacrificing your Sanguine Guard.

Crimson Husks

As a bonus action, While Tethered to a dead creature you gain the ability to turn them into Crimson Husk. This can be done at the same time you Tether to the creature.

  • The husk has access to all physical abilities that it had access to while alive. (No spell casting)
  • The husk has half of the HP it had while alive minus any HP drained from it prior to the turning
  • The amount of Tethers required to turn a creature into a husk increases as the size increases. (Small=1, Medium=2, large=3, etc)
