Base Class: Fighter
For whatever reason, Death chose you to be one of their many loyal servants. You speak to them rarely, but you always know when they call for you. After all, dying once before has already made you a part of their domain.
From souls trapped by a necromancer which need to be freed to punishing a wicked criminal. Reapers set out to ensure that the cycle of life and death continues as it should.
Eternity of Death
You gain resistance to necrotic damage and no longer need to eat like regular mortals. You still need to sleep but you only need to sleep for half as long. At higher levels [7] you no longer need to sleep but stay inactive doing light activity IE. reading a book for 4 hours. You also no longer breathe or age.
Grim Reaver
Beginning at 3rd Level, you are able to amplify the weapon you are using. As an action, you have your weapon burst with a flame from death's energy. Your next attack with your weapon inflicts an extra Xd10 necrotic damage, where X equals half your reaper level (rounded down, with a minimum of 1), on a hit. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier, regaining all use when you finish a long rest.
A reaper must spend one hour to bond in ritual to the weapon in order to empower it. You may only have one such weapon at a time. If you bond with another weapon, then the original bond is lost. If it manages to be destroyed, it will reappear in your hands after you conduct a ritual as part of a short rest, for a price of 100 gp.
Death's Raiment
Your clothes may have been considered many things: emo, unfashionable, and uncomfortable under strong heat. But that all stops now. Beginning at 1st level, an ethereal robe of Death has been bestowed upon you. It materializes as a regular black frayed cloak draped around your person with flowing sleeves and coattails. Your AC becomes equal to 10 + your Constitution modifier + your Wisdom modifier. You can take off this raiment like normal clothing.
Spellcasting
Beginning at 2nd level, Death sees it fit to equip you with the power to utilize magic in your endeavours.
- Spellcasting Ability
Starting at 3rd Level, you know a number of cantrips equal to the Cantrips known on the table above, as well as spells equal to the Spells Known list on the same table. These and further spells are chosen from the Grim Reaper Spell List. At each level you may change out spells from the list to spells known, but you never know more spells than allowed under the Spells known column. You cast spells using your arcane focus.
Wisdom is your Spellcasting Ability for casting Soul Reaper spells.
Spell Attack Modifier: Your Proficiency Bonus + Your Charisma Modifier
Spell Save DC: 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + Your Charisma Modifier
Reaper's Visage
You can persuade anyone given the circumstance. You gain proficiency in intimidation, if you already have proficiency then intimidation gains expertise. Additionally, if a creature is restrained and you "Extract Information" then they must make a wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + strength). On a fail they are under the affect of the Zone of Truth spell. On a success they are unaffected.
Soul Sacrifice
You are able to steal the souls of humanoid victims you kill. you can hold up to 2 souls at a time and you can only gather one per day. as an action sacrificing 1 soul gives 10 temporary hit points and sacrificing 2 heals you for 2d8+con modifier. at lvl 15 the amount of souls you can hold has increased you can now hold 4 souls and you can gather 2 a day. at lvl 18 you can carry 6 souls and gather 3 per day.
Angel of Death
At 15th level, you can use your bonus action to summon skeletal wings from your back. You gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed, lasting until the end of your turn. If you end your turn in the air, you slowly descend to the ground, as if you had been targeted by a feather fall spell.
At 18th level, the flying speed lasts until you choose to dismiss the wings as a bonus action.
One with Death
When you reach the 18th level, you become the death itself. If you cause damage to a creature you have previously injured with your scythe when using your Grim Reaver feature, the target dies instantly, if it has 100 hit points or lower, or take 10d10 necrotic damage, if it has more than 100 hit points.
