Base Class: Monk
The Monastery of the Bleeding Body resides deep within the Forests of Blood and their teachings match the monstrous beasts that stalk those woods. The Monks and Guardians of the Temple have augmented their soldiers with the powers of Hemocraft. Now the Monks of the Bleeding Body Monastery let their blood flow across the lands, strangling their foes and giving them dark power.
Hemocraft Influence
When you choose this subclass at level 3, you gain access to Blood Curses from the Blood Hunter class. You learn 1 Blood Curse at level 3, level 10, and level 17.
The DC against the Blood Curses is the same as your Ki save DC and you must spend 2 more ki points to amplify the curse. You may use this feature once per long rest.
Blood Knot
At 6th level, when you hit an enemy with Flurry of Blows you may spend another Ki point to tie a Blood Knot with them. The damage of the next attack that hits you is instead directed towards the enemy tied with the Blood Knot. The Blood Knot is dissipated afterward. The Blood Knot lasts for 1 minute or until you Blood Knot another creature.
Mark of Gore
At the 11th level, you may use a bonus action to mark an enemy with the Mark of Gore. When you mark an enemy with the Mark of Gore, you may use 1 to 5 Ki points. Until the end of your next turn, you may add the amount of Ki points you poured into the Mark of Gore to every melee attack against the marked creature.
Tower of Carnage
At level 17, when you become gravely injured, your body grows stronger. When you fall under zero hit points you may use a Ki point to instead fall to one hit point. You also gain these temporary benefits:
- The first time you are brought back your movement is doubled and you can now move without provoking opportunity attacks.
- The second time you are brought back your Dexterity modifier increases by 1.
- The third time you are brought back your Martial Arts die increases to 1d12.
- The fourth time you are brought back your Dexterity modifier increases by 1.
- The fifth time you are brought back you are considered under the effect of the Haste spell.
These effects last for 1 minute or until you fall unconscious. If you survive the full minute, you take a point of exhaustion. Once you lose the abilities they are reset from the beginning (i.e. the next time you are brought back, you only get the first ability).
