I know there are quite a few we can use now, but they are not pinned anywhere I can find to get a quick list.

I know there is ways to do spells, items, monsters and skills. I knowHartless snuck in and did some dice rolling in a PbP last night so that is a new tag coming along.

I know it is buried in a non-sticky thing from early April when they were added and I'm not about to waste time digging for it and I'm not even sure it is in a post with a title that would help find it either.

All the ones I'm aware of:

• magicitem - magic item, e.g. bag of holding
• spell - spell, e.g. magic missile
• action - an action you can take, e.g. ready
• monster - a monster, e.g. ancient black dragon
• skill - a skill, e.g. perception
• condition - a condition, e.g. invisible
• wprop - a weapon property, e.g. finesse
• sense - a sense such as darkvision
• item - mundane equipment, e.g. rapier
• roll - a dice roll, e.g. 6 (there's a sticky in the PbP forum explaining more about this one, it's pretty complex)

All relevant information is located in the 'Developer Quotes' link included in each Moderator's signature.  It is mildly inconsiderate to expect others to conduct the search so that you don't have to 'waste time'.  As such, the request to have said information more readily available is noted.

Well, all I am saying there should be pinned post that is called forum tags or useful forum tools. This way new people can find the info quickly of tags and other fun things for the forums and us old farts won't brain freeze on it. And well if I look for something for 20 minutes and stupidly cant find it, well, I tend to give up and go find something productive to do. Just saying.

I will agree that this needs to be easier to find. I have a note offline myself because I had to dig through the forum every time to find it :/ This works for me, but it's not updated with new tags. :p

Perhaps we can get a list like skizzerz's above, copied in VillainTheory's Developer Quotes? Possibly the #4 (Tooltips and Linking) section?

Edit: Also, I notice the list above is missing "sense" (e.g., Truesight)

I keeeeeed. Totally agree, we need to add a list somewhere for all of these. Just not sure where the best place is. Eventually, all of these will be buttons on the editor toolbar, but that will be a while.

Wellllll... since all (most?) moderators have that link to VillainTheory's thread, and that thread does have that "Tooltips and Linking" section (#4), that would be a good placement.

Or a sticky in announcements titled something like "Forum Tags", I suppose. :p

And I want the secrets! Don't think for a moment that the "I kid" defense works! We all know there are secret tags now!
