The "blowgun" weapon, probably because of its unique damage of 1+strength modifier, does not appear to be affected by becoming a chosen weapon for the Kensei class. It should follow the same damage convention as all other monk weapons if chosen as a kensei weapon.
If a kensei monk has a blowgun selected as a kensei weapon, you should be able to use a d4 instead of the normal 1 damage since Path of the Kensei makes the blowgun a monk weapon when selected, and Martial Arts allows you to use a d4 instead of normal damage on monk weapons. Currently, only the 1+DEX damage is showing in the available Actions.

It might be a coding bug since it's not a "dice damage", they could fix this by saying the blowgun does "d1+dex" since a d1 still can only do 1 damage but allows it to become a dice damage weapon.
Bumping as well; still not resolved. An admitted minor problem, but I'd love to see it corrected. My Lizardfolk monk wants to redeem the lowly blowgun!
In character generation, monk/kensei/blowgun option does not change damage to monk unarmed attack as kensei weapon.
- Proficiency to hit applies
- damage seems to apply to other kensei missile weapons inc. martial.
Appear that it can't be overridden either when customizing the weapon attack.

Not as yet. It is a small glitch, so maybe it slipped through.
