This might be something small since its on the same page further down, but it might save time to have weapons with the special property have their properties be hyperlinked like conditions are. The only problem that might come up with this is the net's special property inflicts a condition so it might nest a hyper link....which'd be weird. shouldn't be a problem. Its small since there's only two of them but it'd be a nice addition I think.
I was searching for items with a specific damage type like radiant for a sun sword. But i didn't find a filter option for it. Maybe i 'm overlooking it but i think it would be nice to have the option to filter for damage type or even to assosiate items with certain key words like light or Lathander or necrotic ... anyway just a thought.
The list of items and weapons are quite vast. I love the variety. Although I was hoping that there would be more to the descriptions of each item and even an illustration of the corresponding item/ weapon for visual aesthetic purposes. One thing that brought me to play and love DnD was the beautiful art that went with it. I'd like to see more of those here.
A. Tags should be alphabetical in the dropdown. Not sure what order they are in now.
2. Tags should be clickable on the actual item page, so that if I am looking at a warding item, I can click the tag and go to a page of all things with the warding tag, as if I had selected Warding in the search parameters.
I would like a printer friendly version, preferably card sized, so when presenting the players with a magic item, I can give the the description to go with it. Some items have a lot of features to write down. like the rod of lordly might
Not sure if this is a the correct place to put this but I'd like to see a calculator for how much my character's lavish accommodations are costing him per night for food/lodging/etc. including any hired help.

I know what you mean - I've loved the artwork ever since I first saw some of the original Larry Elmore covers!

a) Good call - I was looking at that earlier. I think that it's because more tags have been added recently - would certainly be a good plan for them to be ordered alphabetically within the dropdown though!
2. Great idea! The dev team love the ideas and feedback that they're getting. :)
In the armor section there doesn't seem to be any mention of what type of armor it is: light, medium or heavy.
For me, ultimately, all such magical items should be linked somehow to the normal armour/weapon, to include the correct stats. At the very least, it needs to provide a hoverable hyperlink to the normal item!
Header functionality while browsing Items, sorting ASC or DESC for Type has no effect on subcategories.
Filtering, the filter button specifically stating "Filter Magic Items" can be misleading, what if the items the user is looking for are not magical at all?
Example: Filtering for weapon type Dagger; would that only show magic daggers, or all daggers?
I'm sorry if it's a duplicate but viewing on mobile site from my iPhone , the item names are cut off and even expanding doesn't list the full name anywhere.
Ex: Potion of Lightni.....
Maybe im doing something wrong ? Otherwise enjoying this tool very much so far ! Good work.
Heya! I just went through all of the posts on this thread and it looks like no one addressed your concern. (Funny first post, but I just found out the beta was open today. long story why, not going into it.)
I tested on both my phone and my tablet. I get the same issue. And for repeatable results I used your example. I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8. The tablet displays "Potion of Lightning Resista..." regardless of landscape or portrait mode. The phone displays "Potion of Lightning Resista..." in landscape and "Potion of Lightning Re..." in portrait.
So you definitely are not doing anything wrong. It is just that the mobile site translation doesn't work perfectly in general. Keep in mind that there will be an app though! Super pumped for that myself.
The Apparatus of the Crab is, I believe, supposed to be The Apparatus of Kwalish? I believe that is what it's called in the DM's guide.
I thought the same and you are right with the DMG; however, the SRD lists it as The Apparatus of the Crab. I'm sure if we search, just like with "missing items" there will be some more naming inconsistencies simply due to the SRD transition from the PHB, DMG, and MM. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Outside of those I am really enjoying this tool. I haven't gone through every item, but I have perused each section. Most of what I I would like to see has already been mentioned a few times (like the multiple types of the same armor being condensed and so forth). The one that kept being listed that I would absolutely love to see implemented now is being able to filter Items by Class restriction.
So far no complaints about the tool itself. Looking forward to both phase 2 and phase 3 so I can see what that holds in store here!
WotC have licencing restrictions on certain names which mean they can't appear in the SRD - mostly it affects spell names (So Bigby's Hand becomes Arcane Hand), however it also affects some items. Apparatus of the Crab is indeed The Apparatus of Kwalish - the name Kwalish is not provided in the SRD.
I forgot to mention the licensing with the SRD in my post. Oh well, that's what happens when my brain is doing a lot of things at once, or I am...like cleaning, this, and preparing for our move in May.
If this is already suggested, I apologize, I searched and didn't find it.
Suggestion: The ability to print items.
I like to give a handout to players for loot that they find. To be able to print out the item page in a professional manner would be nice. Specifically, consider the following additional features:
Ability to print in a fancy, color version
Ability to print in a "printer friendly" version
Ability to match the item page to different paper sizes. For example, to print on half or a quarter of a page for standard 8.5 x 11. Maybe even to print multiple items to a page (like 4 different items to print each over 1/4 of a page). Or, to print to 3"x5" or 4"x6" index cards.
Add an option to add custom text. For example, the DM could add custom background text, or a custom name, etc.
Ability to print a "Non-Identified" version of magic items. Look to Fantasy Grounds for an example.
Thanks!

Be careful what you Wish for... your DM may just give it to you!
A way to collapse the multiple records of Magic + X items would be really nice. I realize this has a purpose for linking with the character sheet but i would much rather have a cleaner list to look at and simply have the linked items have the details I'm looking for. As an example, the Magic Weapon +1 might have several "weapon types" listed under it. Now the character sheet might have the ability to change it to a Magic Short Sword +1 so that the user knows what type it is, but the link for detailed information should still show "Magic Weapon +1".
There may also be alternative plans for the homebrew content to add custom text to Magic Weapons so in that case i think a reference to Magic Weapon +1 with the sheet having the ability to add "custom description" as an additional field would be useful.
The short and skinny of this is that the items page feels cluttered and needs to be slimmed down. Also the ability to change results per page on all the lists would be very nice and help with this.
I know what you mean, it does feel cluttered if you want to use it to browse through, but I don't think that's really going to be the main use?
If I want to look up the stats for weapons, I'm likely going to have a clue what I am after and the advanced filter is really good.
I'm thinking I want to see what +1 weapons are available, so click weapons, then +1 on the filter. That gives me 4 pages of weapons, but I already know I am looking for something that isn't JUST a straight +1 weapon. If I just wanted a +1 Longsword, I probably wouldn't even need to look it up, so - I click on rarity and add RARE and VERY RARE.
I'm now down to just one page of items to look at, spot on!
Additional feedback - I am loving the amount of options in the filter!
I imagine it's likely something you've already got on the roadmap, but here's my wishlist anyway:
* Treasure generation for an encounter (as in being able to craft an entire encounter using the tool and have it roll for "loot" (with options to re-roll or manually adjust the loot).
Hey everyone - thanks for the feedback here. I hear the comments about grouping the various "Adamantine [Insert Armor Here]" into a single entry. We'll see what we can do about that. We are highly-focused on making sure the listings are quick and snappy. Using this kind of grouping will certainly make us pay a query performance cost, but we'll explore some options.
Thanks!
I have nothing useful to say other than echoing a desire for an easier to browse list. Currently, donjon's is the best one I've found and I still use it over DDB's because of the above issues.

Search capability is sorely lacking. There is no way to say, "Everything but armor."
And wading through 6 pages of Armor of X Resistance is punk.

Also would it be useful to flag ammunition as consumable (or consumable*) for DM's to track usage/loss?
