when you take ritual caster feat. it there a way to choose those spells? i can't find it.
I just tested, looks like a bug. Magic Initiate allows you to select spells but Ritual Caster does not. I'll create a new post for you under the support forums, I have another player who will be choosing that next session as well.
This is a very long thread, so forgive me if this has been asked and answered before!
I DM several games and one of my players has shared access to his D&D Beyond purchases, which is all of the books, I believe. We have a campaign set up in the site for the sharing aspect, and I am set as the DM! I can see all of the books, monsters, magic items, etc- but in the character builder I still have only the basic class choices (one per class). Is this fixable? I can always look at the options in the digital books, but it seems a shame to not be able to use them in the character builder.

Your character will only have access to those resources within the campaign.

You need to create the character through the campaign link.
Is the basic encumbrance rules calculating correctly? i have a character with 13 STR but i have to go over 390 lb before i get dropped to 5 feet. Shouldn't it drop down when i get to over 195?
This should be working properly. Per the rules:
Your Strength score determines the amount of weight you can bear. The following terms define what you can lift or carry.
Carrying Capacity. Your carrying capacity is your Strength score multiplied by 15. This is the weight (in pounds) that you can carry, which is high enough that most characters don't usually have to worry about it.
Push, Drag, or Lift. You can push, drag, or lift a weight in pounds up to twice your carrying capacity (or 30 times your Strength score). While pushing or dragging weight in excess of your carrying capacity, your speed drops to 5 feet.
So, the 5 feet thing doesn't kick in until the twice your carrying capacity threshold is met.
Thanks!
I am just reading the things that the encumbrance says in the character sheet "While pushing or dragging weight in excess of your carrying capacity, your speed drops to 5 feet." . I understood this as when i go over my carrying capacity (witch is 195 lb) it drops to 5 feet. Now i have to go over my push, drag or lift capacity (witch is 390 lb) before it drops and i thought that if i go above this i would not be able to move at all. Otherwise i could drag 1000 lb of plate mails.
am i understanding this wrong then?
Re-reading it (for about the fifteenth time), I do believe you're right - it does say in "excess of your carrying capacity" there and taking that sentence by itself it's got to mean that.
We'll definitely adjust the calculation to accommodate.
Any chance you could change the favicon to the characer's avatar when on a character sheet? I have a lot of character sheets open when I DM, and it'd help me a lot if I could just pin those tabs and refer to them by the pic.
I'm using the "Tab Modifier" extension to do this at the moment, but it'd be great if it were built in.

Variant Encumbrance also doesn't work properly with races and features that double limits.
It gets tricky, though, because variant encumbrance doesn't invalidate regular carrying limits, it merely imposes new penalties for different weights.

Just pushed the version 0.1.3 of Beyond Help Chrome Extension, this one will change the favicon of character sheet and character builder pages to the character's avatar. Maybe it will take a couple of hours to google update the store. Also it will probably break when the new character sheet arrives, but if this feature is not in the new sheet I will fix the extension asap. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or suggestions.
Can we get an option to use spell point variant rules instead of spell slots? Also the ability to manually add feats/skills/proficiencies outside of normal character progression would be great. I use them quite a bit as rewards. Excellent job on the site overall. These are just a few small critiques that prevent the digital sheets from being useful in my campaigns. Looking forward to seeing what you guys add moving forward.

Planned and planned.

This is great! I don't have to set up rules per character now!

I was half expecting you to say "I asked Jeremy Crawford earlier and he said this and that." :p

Will the character creator updates, currently in development, include automation of the "This is your life" section of XGtE? Or is that a future goal?
I meant it doesn’t have the official character sheet format.
And I cast Heroism on the community.

Can a Monk's Way of the Sun Soul's 'Radiant Sun Bolt' be added to the attack list please?

The item menage need some work to be done, so the encumbrance rule work properly.
It is necessary to add where the item is located, like backpack, bag of holding, on mount, in use (self) or other.
Because all items are being add to determine the encumbrance weight and affecting the speed. And only in use items should count for that.
So then, any progress on the Druid Wildshape / familiar / beast companion feature? My warlock is feeling very lonely without his familiar.
