Synovar meanders along the beach, slowly collecting his sword, shield and bow. The elf looks around almost unsure of the next step to take, when he hears a voice carry across the sand. Looking up he heads toward the jovial invite, cautious at first but quickly smiling at the welcoming group.
"Greetings" he says in beautiful flowing elvish.
Switching to the common tongues, he continues. "I am Synovar, I assume you all are remnants of the ship wreck?"
"Well met sir Snappy. Your music is beautiful, and we make a wonderful band. Garrick, I never knew you had such a beautiful baritone voice. Why have you been hiding this from me all these years?" Merrick tries to playfully nudge the dwarf with his shoulder, but it's like trying to push a brick wall. No give whatsoever.
Merrick is excited to meet someone with a love of music like himself. "I'm so excited! Your bow is like nothing I've ever seen. And with your bow, my pipes, Erik's drum and lute, and Gerrick's voice... ohoho the songs we will play! Speaking of which, sir Snappy, when I saw you coming towards us, I had a tune pop into my head. Here are a few bars that came to mind."
With that Merrick starts playing a catchy little tune to honor their new friend
(OOC everyone is choosing a green color for their IC text, it would be helpful if people can choose more visually distinct colors so that it's clear what color each character has).
<Greetings to you as well Noble Fae> Erik replied to the elf in his native language, adopting a respectful tone, one he had learned through his studies as a boy growing up at court.
"It would appear so." He added, switiching to common as the Elf had out of respect for the others present.
(OOC I took Green as it's the color of his fire...but can use red if it's easier for ppl)
After resting and recovering your gear (including the bag of holding I mentioned in the recruitment thread), you see a tortle approaching from what you guess to be the north. He has a fishing pole slung over his right shoulder, a small basket in his left hand, and a straw hat on his head. He's whistling a cheerful little ditty and has a broad smile on his face.
"Well hi there friend. You see my group of merry friends were felled by a shipwreck, do you happen to know where we are? Or where the closest Tavern is for a bottle of drink and merriment for this group?"Yelling in a friendly voice to the Tortle making his way towards the group. Garrick stands and faces the man, lifting a hand over his head in a wave. He makes sure his mighty great axe is close by, his years of military training taught him to always be ready for a battle.
Erik grabs his staff as his eyes focus on the creature approaching. The creature was definitely similar to the one they had just met, and he seemed to be alright. Garrick was already addressing the creature, so Erik remained quiet and called several spells to mind just in case things took a turn, but he did his best not to be threatening. No sense making enemies if he didn't have to.
"Hello Nortle! We're a merry band of musicians here. Come join us. We don't have fish or ale, but we have a fire and songs. Do you know where we could rest our feet and have a meal?"
"Well, the only settlement of any size is Ahoyhoy, but it's a good day's travel southwest. If you leave early in the morning, you'll hit the Mud Pits of Floorb in time for an early lunch."

"I must have been dazed by all the events of tonight, I didn't even realize I was home. Well met, Nortle. I'm Snappitaus O'inx, go by Snappy, friends call me Snap and my ladies...well, they never call me back." Snap looks to the group, "Us Tortles really don't have settlements other than Ahoyhoy. It's a nice place full of friendly faces who love good music."
"Do you think if we played you some good tunes and shared our fire with you, you'd be as so kind to share some of your catch, Nortle?" Snappy asks the newcomer. Nortle reminded him of his cousin Fletch, a good Tortle with an easy going way of life. Well, that's most of his cousins. Most of his race, actually.

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

"Making our way to a settlement would be ideal." Synovar knelt by the fire, close to the others as they rested and chatted with the newcomer. "The blessing of Correllon can warm your waterlogged attire. If you'll allow me?" The cleric demonstrates on his own armor and equipment, blue and green lights dance from his hands and play along the fabric, warming every place they touch.
Snap pulls out his fiddle and start playing again, hungry for the fish that he was seeing gutted. His stomach rumbled and he couldn't remember the last meal he had. He plays harder, trying to keep the hunger at bay.

"Your generosity is most kind master Nortle, many thanks indeed." Erik said with warmth. He enjoyed the company of others like himself, good in spirit and generous where they could be. He sat by Nortle, using his blade to assist with the cleaning of the fish. It wasn't an ideal blade for this kind of work, but Erik had been no stranger to killing and cleaning animals in the wild while in the military. The Elf's words drifted to him over the fire and in flowing Elvish he replied, <”That would be most kind of you Noble Elf, any assistance you could provide would be most welcome.">
"Master Nortle...." Erik said softly, concentrating on the work. "Have you seen or heard of anything strange in these parts? Something out of the ordinary perhaps? Anything that could explain our situation would be of the most help.
Erik studies the map intently for a few moments, trying to take in as much of the details as he could. "Master Nortle, would you be inclined to helping some weary travellers reach the town here?" Erik asked, in his most sincerest tone, pointing to Ahoyhoy. "I know we have presumed on your generosity already this day, but we would be most grateful and I'm sure my compatriots and I would be happy to repay you with song and tales." He looked around to Garner support from the others.
"We'd be most grateful. These fish are great!", says Merrick enthusiastically. "Songs and tales we've got plenty, the Errick brothers, world famous troubadours, at yer service!"
(OOC: I'll be out on vacation for a week starting tomorrow, until Sept 30. How does the DM want to handle absences?)
"Aye Master Elf, please help warm this Dwarf's items. Thank ye much Sir Nortle. Now before all of this merriment and song sharing begins, I think we need to get some business handled. I think we need to set up a watch system for the night, now before everyone starts grumbling just think. What happens if we have some crazy sea creature run up on us in the middle of the night, and one of us starts tasting like Ser Nortle's tasty fish. Just an idea. I will be fine with taking the first or last watch." His voice bellows and carries a serious tone, when it comes down to the protection of his companions and friends he takes their protection to heart and will fight to the death for them.

After he finishes gutting the fish, Nortle sticks a few herbs in each one, encases them in wet sand, and puts them on the edges of the fire.
He then pulls out a map and unrolls it on a nearby tabletop.
You are in the second section of beach from the north, on the east side of the peninsula.
