Lena gets up from where she was kneeling over the goblin's corpse. Looking around the room for Rickard, she makes her way over to him she spots him with Nikta.
"Excuse me Rickard I don't mean to interrupt, but do you perhaps know where your daughter was when the goblins attacked?" She asks. As she does she would like to take a look around the room for anything strange or note-worthy. Perception: 6
"If we know where exactly she where she was when she was taken we might have an easier time finding clues."
Carxus wanders away from the conversation and walks to the open doorway at the rear of the workshop. He peers around the partition and into the living quarters. He looks the area over to see if he notices anything unusual. Perception: 17
(OOC: Woo hoo! Not bad for my first in-game PbP roll!)
Lorys takes in the wreckage of the room, but walks past the goblin's lifeless corpse. She takes a closer look at the tracks - their size, form, how far into the ground they sink, if any odd substances have been beaten into the earth by the goblins' feet - in an attempt to gain more knowledge of the attackers.
Investigation:10
Gerard notices Lorys examining the tracks. "Lorys , what do your Ranger eyes see?"
"Friends! We must hurry! Every minute we dally is another this girls must spend with these foul creatures."
DM's Note: Lorys, are you sure you're adding your modifiers? I'm pretty sure you have a +4 at least. I'm away from my sheets ATM.
(Lorys examines the tracks with the skill of an experienced Ranger. She follows them to the old, broken gate, spending a few moments assessing the damage before returning to the workshop to report to her companions.
"7 tracks in, 6 tracks out, plus the girl. 3, maybe 4 hours ago."
(Rickard looks heartbroken, but realizes something.)
"Her tracks? That-that means she's alive! She was walking!"
(Rickard rushes to the living quarters and returns with some items, putting them into Lorys hands.)
"I hope this helps you all. Please, maybe you can catch up to them!"
(Lorys looks at the items: a first aid kit with 2 charges, and a potion of healing.)
DM's notes: Lorys, please add those on your sheet (unless you give them to someone else to hold). Everyone else, if you're ok with following the tracks or want to do something else let me know. I'll post the next part when everyone checks in.

(OOC: Woo hoo! Not bad for my first in-game PbP roll!)
(Carxus looks over the living quarters. There aren't really any signs of a struggle, suggesting Bess was taken without much of a fight, perhaps caught taking a nap.)
(Meanwhile, Lena doesn't notice anything out of place. Rickard thinks and responds.)
"Well, based on what Lorys has found... beyond that gate is The Boar's Woods. But they're huge, easily 20 miles wide, maybe? There's nothing in them as far as I know. Maybe some boars, but that's it."
(He turns to Lorys.)
"You've shown such skill as a tracker, I just know you'll be able to find her! Godspeed, I know your skills will be invaluable and you'll do your best to get my daughter back!"
"Thank you," Inlorys says as she stows the items in her pack, "but I wouldn't advise you to get your hopes up. We haven't found your daughter yet, and we yet don't know why the goblins took her." She tries to soften her white eyes, though she knows that humans usually find them unnerving. She does not say these things to hurt the man, but to prepare him. Bess may have been walking when she was abducted, but that did not guarantee her safety.
Lorys steps foreward to put her hand on Rickard's shoulder. "Hope is not lost, though I would not count on it. We will do all that is in our power."
"Yes, let us go my friends, I don't like the thought of leaving a child with these creatures for longer than we have to."
Lena turns to Lorys. "Miss Lorys, would you be so kind as to lead the way. You seem to be the best tracker here and I would feel better with you guiding us."
(The group takes a few more moments to look around, get their gear ready and is on their way. Lorys leads the way and her tracking ability really shines. Everyone seems to be thoroughly impressed as the young Tiefling as she guides the party past some rough terrain, even finding some sweet berries for everyone to snack on, never losing the trail.
Everyone is moving forward at a good pace for several hours, but it's gotten dark. Those in the party without some sort of darkness vision light torches. Suddenly, Lorys stops and puts her hand up.)
"... ..."
(A faint rustling noise, then some squealing is heard as a sense of danger fills the air.)
"Brace yourselves everyone!"
(A giant boar is rushing at you all full speed. Roll for initiative!)
DM's notes: Make sure to include your Initiative modifiers on the top of your sheet when you roll. Also, just FYI, if Lorys hadn't been with you guys that boar would have probably snuck up on you. ;)
Also, just FYI, the boar isn't really a giant boar, more of a medium boar. I had to scale it back because it would have 1 shot pretty much everyone in the party.
(The giant boar lets out a squeal of pain as Gerard's crossbolt nails it in the right shoulder. He slows down but keeps charging. Gerard searches around and heads to the cover of a nearby tree.)
