That is most definitely a possibility, and something I would suspect they are considering, if anything for the fact that they created a specific slider in the character builder with "Critical Role Content" as name, instead of a generic "Additional Content".
The Gunslinger is an extremely popular subclass, judging by the amount of downloads it has in the DM's Guild, so it would make sense for them to add that as well at some point down the line, probably when they release the Homebrew Subclasses system.

I would love this! This is the only reason I am holding back using DnD Beyond exclusively! I play as a Tabaxi Gunslinger and would love this!... Did I mentioned I would love this?
I wouldn't be surprised if the Way of the Cobalt Soul went live tonight, since Mariska will be playing with it.
Afraid that won't happen, not soon at least, as the Cobalt Soul tradition is part of the Tal'Dorei sourcebook, which is published by Green Ronin (and therefore a 3rd party product for which there is currently no deal for distribution on DDB) :-/

Really love how Blood Hunter is on here but Please PLEASE include Gungslinger! We are trying to transition over from Fight Club to manage our characters here on DDB. One of my players is a Tabaxi Rogue/Gunslinger.... it'll be tough convincing him to use DDB without this... :(

You could now make your own version of the Gunslinger thanks to the Homebrew Subclasses tool.
You probably won't be able to have it approved for public, but anyone in a content-sharing campaign with you (or anyone else having done the Gunslinger Subclass) will have access to it.

I have created my own version of a gunslinger called the Gunfighter, which is currently in moderation. I made changes to the entire class as a whole and added many of my own traits to it. I honestly like it more than the other version. The only problem is that I can’t make any limited use scaling with proficiency or ability scores right now. Future update for sure.

Yeah, the limited use being only a fixed value is annoying, especially if you wanted something base off an ability modifier.
For the uses based on proficiency: have you tried fiddling with the level requirements for the limited use? What I mean is, Proficiency is level-dependent, and it's the same regardless of any other character variable. What you could do, is create several Limited Use for the features which requires them and have these sum up to the Proficiency bonus at any given increment.
Something like: limited use - lvl 3 - fixed value = 2 ; limited use - lvl 5 - fixed value = 1 ; limited use - lvl 9 - fixed value = 1 etc.
This way, while not pretty at all, could be a workaround for the time being. You would basically have a list of limited use features all called the same that sum up to the character's proficiency bonus number of uses at any given level.

That could work, I was also looking at the level scaling section to see if there was any luck there for now. I just don’t know how that section works right now. Once I see a good solution I will update the class. For now they have 5 Focus points to use. It never goes up or down, so the problem is that it can be a touch strong at low level, and fall off at high level. The abilities I give it at higher level will counteract this I hope.

As far as I got it, the Level Scaling section lets you introduce modifiers that would then be changed by gaining additional levels (like, for example, a bonus to damage based on your proficiency bonus, so you create one entry per level where proficiency increases and it would get automatically updated), but if I am not wrong it does not allow to introduce level-scaling uses.
You might want to have a look at maybe creating unseen features that could increment the limited uses, but in that case as well I am afraid there is no way to make them override one another.

Thanks for the tips! I'm still new to DDB but I'll definitely look into the homebrew content creation this week.
It will likely take at least another week before my class is up for approval, in the mean time I’d be happy to throw a dummy character into your campaign to share my gunfighter with you. If don’t like it no worries, I’ll just leave the campaign. PM me an invite if you’re interested
I forgot to say: BadEye also confirmed that additional Critical Role related content is coming to DDB in the near near future.
No mention of what specific classes/subclasses/content will come, but I wouldn't hold my breath on the Gunslinger, as that was a conversion of a Pathfinder class, so it might open up to all sorts of copyright issues (although it is quite different from the original class, as far as I understood it).
This was back in April. I have since reformed my gunfighter class into the Outlaw class for the rogue. I just release the newest version of it which coincides well with Mercer’s class. Link below
I see they've got the Bloodhunter but does anyone know if they're going to add the gunslinger subclass for fighter?
Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.

Although the Cobalt Reserve is Product Identity, the class mechanics are Open Game Content.

If you do make your own homebrew subclass of Gunslinger, please don't hit the publish button on it, as we'll have to reject it.
That said, you never know whether you'll get official gunslingers on DDB any time soon. Who knows! ;)

The gunslinger still isn't appearing under fighter - as far as I can tell, it's only accessible through the search function.
