This book is looking better by the second, was kinda hoping for a couple more subclasses though
These may be 3 of the best animated portraits yet. I'm really digging the pre-order perks this time around. Can't wait for the book too...
I purchased Fizban's Treasury of Dragons as a gift for my grandson, and when he clicks on the link he is informed it is forbidden. Does that mean he has to wait until the 26th to click on the link?
Will he get the digital dice etc. at that time also, since it was pre-ordered?
Thanks. Dave Curtin
Yes you get everything when the book is released on the 26th!
At first I felt the same way, and then when I thought more about how iconic these subclasses will be when there's one at the table, the more you have the less special it can become (unless everyone in your group is intentionally trying to be a draconic subclass). So I kind of think the way they did it was good by adding more ways to incorporate draconic aspects without utilizing subclasses with the backgrounds and the spells. However, I'm pretty sure there's a draconic sorcerer bloodline. You could also have a paladin's oath related to a dragon deity, same with cleric. Then there may even be a warlock subclass you could tie into a draconic personality.
I just want a Winged Dragonborn.
Can't read the dice lol
I said exactly this to Dungeon Coach. If everybody is dragon-powered, it isn't cool anymore.
Those dice are HOT
Love ths!
Also, I know it's kinda a meme, but 5e really did do the ranger and monk dirty, I like to see this as an unofficial sort of apology to them. (Though to be fair almost every edition did monk's dirty, but still)
Speaking from experience, they certainly ARE! It's a good thing you don't have to hold them in your hand to roll them!
I assume if we pre-ordered this prior to this announcement we still get all these goodies?
If we don't I'm rioting and sending an official complaint. All jokes aside I don't see any reason why not to get these.
If you preorder this until the book is released (I believe right before the 26th - so 23:59 EST of the 25th), you'll get the goodies.
There are already a TON of subclasses. I hear you, but as always I'm more interested in monsters and magic items! Maybe there will be some cool homebrew inspired by this?
Yeah, I agree with you, OstravaTheBrave! Those are crazy, and disappointingly, hard to read the numbers on. I hope the "real" digital dice have a higher contrast color for the number.t
Way of ascendant dragon, how I missed you and can't wait to use it again
Wish they would’ve put a warlock patron class of dragon in this book. Missed opportunity.
friend got this for me for my bday....the extras are even cooler!
