You are a graduate of the Hermetic Academy of the Illuminated Comprehension, the College of Magic at the Temple of the Gods. Because of the intensive training, both within your chosen class and across other magical disciplines, you have picked up additional cantrips and spells.
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from the following list: Arcana, History, Medicine, Nature, Religion.
- Tool Proficiencies: Two of your choice (but not Thieves’ Tools).
- Languages: Three of your choice
- Equipment: A scholar’s pack, a book of magical research notes, a set of traveling clothes, and a belt
pouch containing 10gp worth of mixed coins.
This background provides the magic initiate feat for free. Choose a class: bard, cleric, druid, sorcerer, warlock, or wizard. You learn two cantrips of your choice from that class's spell list. In addition, choose one 1st level spell to learn from that same list. Using this feat, you can cast the spell once at its lowest level, and you must finish a long rest before you can cast it in this way again. If you are a spell caster, these spells become part of your normal spell list, and use your primary casting stat. If not, use the normal casting stat for the class’s spell list.
