Base Class: Wizard
Runes, glyphs and symbols have great magical power, and many of the written aspects of magic are directly related to such sources of power. For more versions and minor changes exist, spells tend to follow a standard formula regarding to their form, and it is this aspect of magic that the so-called "Arcane Geometers" focus their studies. Seeking ways to manipulate and change the shape of magic, these wizards figured out how to alter the geometry of spells by making small momentary changes in their casting, thus being able to use their spells creatively and in situations where they normally wouldn't.
Advanced Knowledge
The basic studies that every magician must have worked much more deeply by "Arcane Geometers", so that their studies transcend the use magic of geometry. You acquire proficiency in Cartography Tools and Navigation Tools.
Geomagical Manipulation
Starting at 2nd level, you know how to make simple changes to the area of effect of spells you cast. Whenever you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that have an area of effect in line, cube, circle, cone, cylinder, sphere, or square, you can change the total area of the spell by 1.5 meters.
Geometric Spells
Starting at 6th level, you add the spells glyph of warding and magic circle to your grimoire. At 14th level you add the teleportation circle and symbol spells to your grimoire. You can cast each of these spells once per long rest without the need for material components and without the expense of spell slots. You can also cast these spells normally using spell slots and the necessary material components.
Advanced Geomagical Manipulation
You have reached a level of understanding about magical geometry that few understand. Starting at 10th level, when casting spells of 1st level or higher that have an area of effect in line, cube, circle, cone, cylinder, sphere, or square, you can change the total area of the spell by up to 3 meters.
Besides that, when a target within 60 feet of you casts a spell that has an area of effect, you can use your reaction to try to change it in the same way as you do with your own spells. If the caster is a hostile target, you must succeed on an ability check using your cast attribute against DC 10 + that spell's level. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and you recover all uses at the end of long rest.
Master Geo-Arcanist
You have become a master at manipulating the shapes of your spells. Starting at the 14th level, when you cast a 1st to 5th level spell that has an area of effect in line, cube, circle, cone, cylinder, sphere, or square, you can change this area of effect by a completely different one. (You could cast a Fireball (Sphere) with an area of effect on Cube or Cylinder, but could not cast Aganazzar’s Scorcher (Line) as a larger line using this skill)
Spell Areas of Effect Changing Table
