Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Berserkers are savage attackers who are focused on hitting things as hard as (in)humanely possible. Instead of gaining a tactical advantage through wit and skill, the Berserker resorts to full primal rage and instinct. This rework hopes to properly do that.

Frenzy

Starting at 3rd level, you can choose to enter a frenzy anytime during your rage. When you do so, you gain an additional action on each of your turns. The action can be used to attack (one weapon attack only), dash, disengage, or use an object. While in a frenzy, you suffer half the levels of exhaustion you've accumulated (rounded down), but any additional levels of exhaustion suffered before your frenzy are regained after your frenzy ends. Your frenzy ends when your rage ends.

Your frenzy upgrades at higher levels.

At level 6, you gain advantage on all dex saves (rather than only ones you can see) while in a frenzy.

At level 10, you gain +2 to AC while in a frenzy.

At level 14, you gain an additional 10 ft to your walking speed (yes, only walking speed) while in a frenzy.

After your frenzied rage ends, you suffer one point of exhaustion. This exhaustion effect stacks.

Mindless Rage

Beginning at 6th level, you can’t be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is suspended for the duration of the rage.

Intimidating Presence

Beginning at 10th level, you can use your Strength modifier in place of your Charisma modifier when making Intimidation checks. As your action, you can create a frightening aura (15 ft radius) radiates off you which frightens a multitude of creatures. A number of creatures of your choice who can see or hear you within this aura must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8+Prof+Strength or Charisma modifier) or become frightened of you for 1 minute, affected creatures may repeat this saving throw at the end of their turn. This radius ends at the start of your next turn.

You may use this feature with the action provided by your 3rd level ability.

If a creature succeeds on a save against this feature, you may not use it against that creature until you finish a long rest.

Retaliation

Starting at 14th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.
