Base Class: Bard
Bards from the College of Ridicule use mockery as a tool to disparage their enemies and bolster their allies resolve. Bards of this archetype typically find careers as jesters who serve to entertain their clients whilst also offering protection from would-be assassins and other enemies that underestimate the power of a snappy quip and a playful melody.
Barbed Tongue
At 3rd level, you learn the Viscious Mockery cantrip if you don't already know it. If a creature fails a saving throw against your Viscious Mockery cantrip, you can expend a Bardic Inspiration die and increase the damage the creature receives by one roll of your Bardic Inspiration die. The creature also has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes until the end of it's next turn when a Bardic Inspiration dice is expended this way.
Friendly Ridicule
Beginning at 3rd level, your harsh words can bolster your ally's weaknesses. As an action, you can choose a creature other than yourself and select their lowest ability score to ridicule. For one minute, any saving throws or skill checks made with the chosen ability score are rolled with advantage. If the target creature has two or more ability scores that are tied as their lowest, you can choose which ability to ridicule.
Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until after a long rest.
Quick Witted
Starting at 6th level, when a creature within 30 ft. of you that you can see other than yourself misses an attack roll, you can use your reaction to mock their mistake. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or have disadvantage on the next attack roll they make or until the end of their next turn. Alternatively you can grant the creature advantage on their next attack roll or until the end of their next turn, no saving throw required. Once a creature has been granted advantage or disadvantage from this feature, they cannot be effected by it again until they finish a long rest.
Leave them Laughing
At 14th level, your humor can shatter the composure of your enemies. When you use the Barbed Tongue feature against a target you damaged with Viscious Mockery, you can force a number of creatures of your choice within 10 ft. of the target (not including the target) that can hear you equal to your Charisma modifier to make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. Any creature that fails this saving throw is under the affect of Tasha's Hideous Laughter until the end of their next turn, and no concentration is required from you to maintain this effect, however a creature can repeat the saving throw with advantage when it takes damage.
