Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Sanguine Clarity have learned how to use Ki to manipulate their blood flow, allowing for impossible surges in battle and calming the frenzy.
Flow of Blood and Battle
When you choose this tradition at level 3, you gain the ability to push your body to the limit - increasing blood flow, movement, and focus. As a bonus action, you may spend 1 Ki point and lose a hit die to gain the following effects that last for 1 minute:
- Adrenal Rush. When you use your Flurry of Blows, you may make an additional unarmed strike.
- Calming Flow. When you use your Patient Defense and are hit with an attack, you may spend a Ki point as a reaction to lose a hit die. Roll your hit die and subtract the amount rolled from the attack.
- Narrow Focus. You may use your Wisdom modifier in place of Constitution when making Constitution checks and saving throws.
You may use this a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier per long rest. Using this feature more than once without taking a short rest between uses gives one level of exhaustion.
Disruptive Hemorrhage
Once per turn, when you roll for damage, you may expend a hit die. Roll your hit die and add it to your total damage roll. On the target's next turn, it takes half the hit die total plus your Wisdom modifier in necrotic damage.
Hemostasis
When you use your Stunning Strike feature, you may spend any number of Ki points. The DC of your saving throw is raised by 1 for every Ki point spent.
Good Measure
At 17th level, you have achieved true clarity. With this, even devastating wounds can be shrugged off. Whenever you are reduced to 0 hit points and not killed outright, you may spend 5 Ki points as a reaction to drop to 1 hit point instead.
