School of Minimalism

Perhaps the school was built upon the basis of poor funding, but they would realize it’s best to make the most out of very little. These wizards grow to be less jacks-of-all-trades in magic and just do best with what they got.

Minimalism Savant

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy any spell into your spellbook is halved.

The spells must trade. The spell from the book now becomes a scroll.

Your book can only contain as many spells as you could prepare.

Practiced Spells

Beginning at 2nd level, the practice that you've taken with your spells shows.

When you cast a spell, you can double your proficiency for the casting.

This spell is limited to the amount of uses equal to your Intelligence modifier.

Extreme Preparation

Starting at 6th level, you have prepared one extra spell on your skin.

• The spell must be from the Wizard spell list.
• It is always prepared. 
• It still uses spell slots and can be upcasted.
• Can be changed, but the magic must be dispelled and the tattoo needs Greater Restoration casted on it.

At 10th level, another tattoo can be applied.

Conversion to Quantity

Beginning at 10th level, you can draw out the magical energy of scrolls to gain spell slots.

After going through the 10 minute process, you acquire an extra spell slot of the level of the scroll.

If the spell is not a Wizard spell, then the spell slot acquired is 1 level less than the scrolls.

The spell slots acquired this way last until the next dawn.

The Cycle of Magic

You've learned to focus on the magic all around you, drawing it from you can.

If a spell is aimed within 10 feet of you, you can roll a d20 as a reaction.

You do a general check of what you roll plus the modifier that the spell was cast with. This is against the to Hit or Spell Save DC for that spell.

• If you succeed the check, you get any combination of spell slots back from the spell's level OR cast the same spell back as a Wizard spell in the same reaction.
• If you fail, you get a 1st level spell slot.

You can use this feature 3 times per long rest.
