Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

A wizard enchants a large mound of clay in a ritual circle. He believes his newly born minion to have no soul or essence at all, but not all are as blind to the life in the dirt, stone, and ore beneath their feet. There are tribes that have found the primal energy in the barren earth. Warriors from these tribes train to become as sturdy as the mountains touching the skies and as destructive as the boulders that tumble down them. Eventually, these warriors meld with the earth, strengthened in body by hard stone and in mind by the fury it awakens. A barbarian of this path becomes more mountain than man and gains a brutal manner of warfare.

Heavy Handed

At 3rd level, your arms become embed in dense stone, each fist as heavy as a boulder. You gain proficiency in unarmed strikes, which now deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage, using strength as normal.

At later levels, your fists become even deadlier. Your Heavy Handed die increases to a d8 at 6th, a d10 at 10th, and a d12 at 14th.

Iron Grasp

At 3rd level, your newly earth-bound hands are able to produce immense, crushing force. When you enter your rage, you can attempt to grapple a creature within range. Moreover, when you take the Attack action, you can immediately attempt to grapple a creature as a bonus action before making any attacks.

Additionally, while raging, your unarmed strikes critical hit on a 19 or 20 against creatures grappled by you.

Crushing Throw

At 6th level, you've become adept at crushing those who find themselves in your grasp. Once per turn while raging, you can substitute a number of attacks to attempt a brutal throw on a creature you have grappled. After declaring which throw (listed below), you and the target make contesting strength (athletics) checks. The winner of the contest determines the effect of the throw. In either case, the grapple ends.

Boulder Toss (1 Attack): Upon success, you spin and hurl the creature through the air. It lands in a space up to 5 times your proficiency bonus away from you (minimum 10 feet), taking bludgeoning damage equal to one roll of your Heavy Handed die plus your strength modifier. If it hits a wall or object before the ground, it takes an additional roll of damage. If it lands in another creature's space, it pushes that creature to an unoccupied space within 5 feet and both creatures take bludgeoning damage equal to one roll of your Heavy Handed die plus your strength modifier. Upon failure, you cannot attempt to grapple it until your next turn.

Rock Slide Suplex (1 Attack): Upon success, you lift the creature over your shoulder and body slam them with a dive. You and the grappled creature each move 5 feet in the same OR switch positions if you are not able to move in the same direction. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks. The target takes bludgeoning damage equal one roll of your Heavy Handed die plus your strength modifier and cannot take reactions until the beginning of your next turn. Upon failure, your speed is halved for the turn and you cannot attempt to grapple the creature until your next turn.

Stalagmite Slam (2 Attack): Upon success, you lift the grappled creature over your head and break it on your knee. The creature takes bludgeoning damage equal to three rolls of your Heavy Handed die plus your strength modifier. The creature drops off your knee and falls prone. You cannot attempt to grapple it until your next turn. Upon failure, the creature struggles out of your grasp and lands on your knee before you expect it. You take 1d10 bludgeoning damage and are knocked prone. You cannot attempt to grapple it until your next turn.

You can use a number if throws equal to your proficiency bonus per rage.

Inescapable Might

At 10th level, your grasp feels enormous to creatures below your hulking stature. Creatures receive a -2 penalty in checks to escape your grapples and Crushing Throws, and an additional -2 for each size category smaller than you. While grappling a creature, you receive a +1 bonus to your Armor Class against that creature's attacks.

Additionally, your speed is not halved while you are grappling a creature of your size or smaller and raging.

Finally, your unarmed strikes and Crushing Throws deal magic damage for the sake of overcoming resistances.

Mountain's Fury

At 14th level, you've mastered the fury of the very earth you walk on, able to transform into a powerful, stone monster. When you attempt to grapple a creature while raging, you can become a titan of stone. When you do, you gain the following benefits:

  • If you are smaller than large, your size becomes large, allowing you to grapple Huge creatures.
  • When you successfully grapple a creature, your stone flesh is reinforced, granting 1d12 plus your barbarian level in temporary hit points, which last as long as the grapple.
  • Your Heavy Handed die becomes 2d8, also increasing for all Throws.
  • The Inescapable Might penalty to creatures checks becomes -4 instead of -2, and the AC bonus becomes +2.

This transformation lasts for 1 minute or until you are unconscious or you die. This feature cannot be used again until you finish a long rest.
