Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

A servant of Loptyr church, a cult led by Archbishop Manfroy made up of the descendants of the followers of the dark god Loptyr. Once dominating Jugdral in the era of the Loptyrian Empire, they were forced into hiding in subsequent years until their resurgence was orchestrated by their archbishop. As members of the church, these paladins are dedicated to the resurrection of the dark god and the complete subjugation of Jugdral.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of Loptyr Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Oath of Loptyr Spells

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Anathema. You can use your Channel Divinity to imbue yourself with the cunning of Loptyr. As an action, you can make a prayer to the dark god. For the next minute or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell), you have advantage on attack rolls against any creature within 15 feet of you.

Fiendish Blow. You can use your Channel Divinity to give yourself a surge of magical power. When you make a spell attack while using this feature against a creature that is behind you in the initiative order, double your spell attack modifier when you roll for damage.

Malefic Aura

By 7th level, you emit an aura that can degrade an opponent's mortal being. When you hit a creature within 10 feet of you with a spell attack, the attack deals 1 additional die of damage as listed in the spell's description.

When you reach 18th level in this class, the range of the aura increases to 30 feet.

Tomebreaker

At 15th level, you gain protection from the effects of magic. When a creature you can see casts a spell against you, you have advantage on any saving throw the spell forces you to make. Additionally, when you make an attack roll with a melee weapon against a creature who casted a spell on its previous turn, you have advantage on the attack roll.

Vengeance

At 20th level, you call upon the dark god Loptyr to rebuke those who would dare strike a member of the faithful. When you land an attack with a melee weapon against a creature, you can use this feature to deal additional damage equal to your half of your missing hit points (rounded down).

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a 5th-level spell slot to use it again.
