Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Violence begets violence, this is a fact of which Clerics of the Sanctuary Domain are well aware. As emissaries of peace they can often be found in the courts of the just and traveling with those without the means to protect themselves. Whether a truce is being negotiated, a controversial figure is being transported, or a threat has been made against an important area, Sanctuary Clerics are likely to be called on for the good of all involved.

Bonus Proficiency

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency with heavy armor.

Calming Presence

Also starting at 1st level, you gain proficiency in the Insight and Persuasion skills and you may add 1d6 to any Insight or Persuasion roll made to de-escalate a situation or avoid conflict.

Channel Divinity: Aura of Sanctuary

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to protect those around you.

As an action, you call forth a region of peace and protection. All creatures within 30 feet of you have disadvantage on all attack rolls and advantage on all saving throws except those made to maintain concentration on spells. Any attacks made from outside this region against any creatures protected by it are also at disadvantage. This lasts for a number of minutes equal to 10 x your cleric level or until you intentionally deal damage to a creature.

Intervention

Beginning at 6th level, when a creature within 60’ of you makes an attack roll you can use your reaction to give them disadvantage. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your Wis. modifier (minimum of once) and regain all expended uses when you complete a short or long rest.

Potent Spell Casting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Emissary of Peace

Starting at 17th level you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed and all creatures have disadvantage on saving throws made against your domain spells. Whenever one of your domain spells requires you to roll a d20, you roll with advantage.
