Monk
Base Class: Monk

Only a small amount of Monks decide to go down this path, as it requires rigoros training and development of ones own skills without a mentor. This 'tradition' often results in improvised attacks that are very unpredictable but this is at the cost of these techniques being very under-developed- but with enough time any Monk would be able to hone their skills and master these improvised attacks into a style worth learning.

Grappling Strike

Beginning at 3rd level when choosing this tradition, you can grapple a creature with one hand and pummel them with the other. Upon using an attack action you may instead use it to grapple the target creature, whilst grappled the creatures movement is 0 and must make a STR saving throw at the start of their turn in order to escape(DC 10+Dex modifier). In addition to being grappled, any unarmed attacks against the creature that turn deal an extra 1d6 blugeoning damage(gains 1d6 damage at 6th level and again at 9th level).

Note: The bonus 1d6 damage to unarmed strikes only applies to the turn when the ability was used

Extortion of the Wrong

At 6th level, you can make a creature wish they never walked into your path, making them bend to your will. If you hit a creature with an unarmed attack, you can spend 1 ki point to force them to make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is Frightened until the end of their turn or has to give up a valuable item/object. You know if they succeeded or failed on their saving throw.

The effected creature, when asked to give up something valuable can give up something of sentimental cost instead of actual cost.

Inn Fighter

Beginning at 6th level, you’ve undergone ruthless fights and brawls within tavern's and inn's, teaching you extensively in the art of offence. You can weild small objects and items to give you different bonuses to damage(still counting as unarmed attacks), and you gain proficiency with one of the following skills of your choice: Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, and Religion. If you already have proficiency in one of the listed skills, you can instead choose to double your proficiency bonus for any ability check you make that uses the chosen proficiency.

Bonuses recieved: Pointed object=1d4 Piercing damage, Blunt object=1d4 Blugeoning damage, Sharp object=1d4 Slashing damage.

You gain an additional damage dice and an additional skill proficiency from the above list (with the ability to double the bonus of an existing proficiency from the list) at 11th and 17th level.

Impromptu Blitz

Starting at 11th level, you’ve had enough of planning instead striking the target creature with pure improvisation. Once per turn, if a creature is grappled by you. You can spend 1 ki point to whail on them gaining 1 additional attack.

Inn Fighter (Additional)

You gain an additional skill proficiency from the above list at 11th level and gain an additional 1d4 damage to the improvised unarmed attacks. If you already have proficiency in one of the listed skills, you can instead choose to double your proficiency bonus for any ability check you make that uses the chosen proficiency.

1 on 1

Upon reaching 17th level, you've developed your techniques. At the start of your turn, You can spend 2 ki points to automatically grapple a target without using an action.
