Base Class: Monk
The Shinobi is a deadly mercenary, trained to infiltrate and sabotage or assassinate their targets with extreme efficiency.
Way of the Shinobi
At 3rd level, your discipline and training allow you to excel in darkness. Unless you already have it, you gain proficiency in the Stealth skill.
Additionally, you’ve learned to use your ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast invisibility, jump, spider climb, or water walk on yourself without providing material components.
Finally, if you initiate combat from invisibility, the first melee attack you make on your first turn of combat deals critical damage if you hit.
Art of Invisibility
Starting at 6th level, you gain double your proficiency in Stealth.
Additionally, whenever you become invisible you leave no tracks or footprints of any kind.
Moon Strike
At 6th level, when you initiate combat from invisibility, after you hit a humanoid creature using an attack action on your first turn, you may choose to spend 1 ki point to forgo any damage and instead attempt to render the target unconscious. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (against your Ki save DC) or fall unconscious. The unconscious condition ends after 1d10 minutes, if the sleeper takes additional damage, or another creature uses an action to awaken the sleeper.
Shadow Strike
At 6th level, on your first turn in combat, on your first successful hit, you may deal an extra 1d6 damage of the weapon’s type.
This extra damage increases to 1d8 at 11th level, and 1d10 at 17th level.
Death Lotus
At 11th level, whenever you use your Flurry of Blows or your Martial Arts feature to make an unarmed strike as bonus action attack on your turn, you may use your monk weapons instead.
Fade to Black
Starting at 17th level, you become a master at dealing instantly fatal blows. After you hit a creature using an attack action, you may choose to spend 1-10 ki points as a bonus action. The target takes an additional 1d10 of the weapon’s damage type per ki point spent.
