Way of Sacrifice

Way of Sacrifice monks spend ki points to gain the abilities granted by this subclass in exchange for a single martial arts die of damage. Thus granting themselves abilities that would allow them to stand longer than they should in the face of an enemy, or to have the power to fell such enemies.

Primary modifiers are constitution and Dexterity

Fortified Body and Soul

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your Constitution modifier for attack rolls in addition to your normal bonuses. You also gain 3 additional points of damage once per round. Additionally you can spend a ki point to roll constitution saving throws with advantage.

Protectors Resolve

Additionally at 3rd level, when you spend 1 ki point, you take 1 martial arts die damage, and in return you gain resistance to non magical bludgeoning slashing and piercing damage for 1 minute.

Stay Down

Starting at 6th level, when you use the Stunning Strike feature, you may also choose to spend an additional ki point to impose disadvantage on the targets saving throw for stunning strike as well as disadvantage on all constitution saving throws for one full round.

Iron Body

When you reach 6th level, you can spend 1 ki point to take 1d4 damage, the damage amount rolled is then also temporarily added to your armor class. This effect lasts for 1 minutes or until knocked unconscious.

Hold the Line

At 11th level you can spend 2 ki points to gain 2d4 temporary hit points. Additionally attacks made against your allies within 15 ft of you have disadvantage for 1 minute. For every ki point spent above the initial two, you gain an additional 2 temporary hit points.

Last Stand

By 17th level you gain the ability to spend 5 ki points to gain resistance to all damage as well as dealing one extra martial arts die damage on every successful attack until combat ends. At the end of combat you drop to zero hit points and have 1 failed death save. If effect ends early when you are knocked unconscious you will have 1 failed death save. If you would fail all death saves, then you cannot be brought back by anything less than a wish spell.
