Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

While many wizards specialize in a single school of magic, you are a generalist, learning about the theory of magic, how different arcane elements blend together, and the basics of all different magical traditions of the cosmos. Lorekeepers are often seen scouting ancient ruins, visiting places of worship, collecting relics, and finding other spellcasters. You study other spellcasters' works, use your arcane skills to empower your spellcasting even further, and even use spells no other wizards can comprehend.

Arcane Scholar

Starting from 2nd level, your understanding of magic is expanded, allowing you to understand spells that are not native to your class. When you first gain this feature, choose a spellcasting class; Bard, Cleric, Druid or Warlock. Spells from the spell list of your chosen spellcasting class are considered wizard spell for you, however they are still quite complicated for your understanding. You cannot pick those spells as the spells chosen for your Signature Spells or Spell Mastery class features.

Furthermore, you may attune to items that are restricted only for the class you can copy spell lists from, provided you are proficient with the item. For an example, if you emulate a cleric's spell list, you may attune to a Staff of Healing, but not to a Mace of Disruption, unless you are proficient with a mace somehow.

Your choice of additional spell list also confers a certain benefit on you, depending on your choice;

Bard

You study the magical performances of bards, gaining the following benefits:

  • You can learn, cast and prepare bard spells as you prepare and cast bard spells. When you gain a level in this class and learn new spells, you may choose bard spells to learn instead of wizard spells.
  • You may choose to pick up bard cantrips instead of wizard cantrips. At the end of a long rest, you may replace all or some of your wizars cantrips with druid ones, and vice versa.
  • You gain proficiency in the Performance skill. If you already have proficiency in that skill, you gain expertise. You also gain proficiency with 2 musical instruments of your choice, which you can use as spellcasting foci.

Cleric

You study divine magic and thaumaturgy, finding a way to bend divine energy with your own will, giving you the following benefits;

  • You can learn, cast and prepare cleric spells as you prepare and cast wizard spells. When you gain a level in this class and learn new spells, you may choose cleric spells to learn instead of wizard spells.
  • You may choose to pick up cleric cantrips instead of wizard cantrips. At the end of a long rest, you may replace all or some of your wizard cantrips with cleric ones, and vice versa.
  • You gain proficiency in the Religion skill. If you already have proficiency in the Religion skill, you gain expertise in it.

Druid

You study the magic of druids, giving you the following benefits;

  • You can learn, cast and prepare druid spells as you prepare and cast wizard spells. When you gain a level in this class and learn nee spells, you may choose druid spells to learn instead of wizard spells.
  • You gain proficiency in the Nature skill. If you already have proficiency in the nature skill, you gain expertise.

Warlock

Studying forbidden rituals and sorcery had tainted your body and soul, but had expanded your power, giving you the following benefits;

  • You can learn, cast and prepare warlock spells as you prepare and cast wizard spells. When you gain a level in this class and learn nee spells, you may choose warlock spells to learn instead of wizard spells.
  • You may choose to pick up warlock cantrips instead of wizard cantrips. At the end of a long rest, you may replace all or some of your wizars cantrips with warlock ones, and vice versa.
  • Choose one eldritch invocation, whose requirements you qualify. You gain it.
  • You learn one exotic language.

Lore Master

Your knowledge of history and magical theory is sharper than most wizards possess. You have proficiency in the Arcana skill. If you are already proficient in this skill, you gain expertise in it.

Analyse Arcana

Starting from level 6, you can delve into the hidden powers within magical items that you find. You can spend a short rest with a magical item in order to copy its abilities. Roll an arcana check. The DC is the same DC needed to copy down a wizard spell from a scroll. On a success, you can copy the spell or ability of the magical item into your spellbook, as long as they are of a spell level you know or require a spell slot of a level you have. On a fail, you cannot attempt using this feature on the same magical item until you had completed a long rest. If you handle a magical item that has a few abilities or spells within it, you can only copy down those who are applicable to your level. Fail or Success, you identify the item's properties and any curses that are placed on it.

Flexible memory

At 10th level, you taught yourself to rearrange your magical arsenal on the fly. When you use your Arcane Recovery feature, you may also replace a number of prepared spells equal to your spellcasting modifier with unprepared spells from your spellbook.

Favourite Spell

At 14th level, you can assign one spell as your favourite. You can always cast this spell normally, by expending a spell slot according to its level, even if that spell isn't prepared.
