Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Honor has no place on a battlefield. Of course, neither does a deserter. Such underhanded combatants make use of dirty tricks to get the upper hand, abandoning honor to live another day.

Recruitment

Starting when you take this subclass at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in medium armor, shields, and martial weapons. In addition, you can use your Sneak Attack feature with any weapon that lacks the heavy or two-handed properties.

Dirty Trick

Also at 3rd level, you can use Dirty Tricks to catch foes off guard. If you take the Attack action on your turn and have advantage on an attack roll against against one of the targets, you can forgo the advantage for that roll to use one of the following Dirty Tricks. You can only use one Dirty Trick per attack, and you can only use a Dirty Trick once per turn.

Saving Throws. Your Dirty Tricks require your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver's effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:

Dirty Trick save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice)

Slippery Striker

At 9th level, you become even more difficult to pin down. When you hit a creature with a Dirty Trick, you can immediately move up to half your movement speed without expending any movement. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

Rebel's Guard

At 13th level, your experience with underhanded combat has granted you an edge in avoiding unpleasant situations. You have advantage on saving throws against being blinded, restrained, or poisoned.

Oldest Trick in the Book

At 17th level, you can use your reaction to feign a deadly blow when you are hit by an attack. Make a Charisma (Deception) check contested by the attacker's Wisdom (Insight) check. If you succeed, you appear to take fatal damage, falling prone and appearing dead until the start of your next turn. In addition, at the start of your next turn, you can get up from being prone without spending any movement, and the attacker is stunned until the start of your next turn as your sudden revival fills them with shock. Creatures that are immune to being frightened automatically succeed on this contest.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
