Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

A fighter who makes called attacks to strike at the vital areas of targets to cause bleed damage. This fighter subclass does bleed damage over time and imposes disadvantages on enemies in combat.

Mortal strikes

Mortal strikes-When picking this archetype at level 3 you gain the ability to cause mortal wounds on an enemy with your strikes. Your years of practice at identifying weak spots on your targets causes deep arterial bleeding from attacks. When making an attack you can make at attempt to strike at a weak spot adding a –5 to the attack roll but adding an additional a d6 in damage per turn until the target uses an action to make a medicine check against the fighters save (10+ proficiency+ Con). Critical hits also double the bleed damage for that turn. This affect has no effect on creature that cannot bleed.

You can use this feature equal to half the fighters level rounded up per long rest.

The bleed damage increases to a d8 at level 8, d10 at level 12 and d12 at level 16.

Autonomy

After gaining experience fighting many different creatures you have begun to understand the signs of a faltering body in combat. As a bonus action on your turn, you can tell if a creature is closer to death or closer to full strength. (The DM will let you know if a creature has more or less than 50% of its HP total.)

Additionally, you gain proficiency in medicine checks.

Many cuts

Many cuts- level 10. You can now stack 2 bleeds on a target, Increasing to 3 bleeds at level 14. All stacks of bleed can be removed with 1 medicine check. Additionally, landing a mortal strike causes additional effects depending on where the strike was targeted:

Legs-movement speed is reduced by 10.

Arms- attacks made with weapons in the targeted arm have disadvantage.

Body- ability checks are made at disadvantage

Head/neck- the target can’t take reactions

Perfected Vitals

Perfected vitals- At level 15 you no longer take the –5 to attempt a mortal strike and is treated like a normal strike, but must still be called before attempted attacks (for purposes of ability charges).

Bloody Death

Bloody death- at level 18 you can now apply max stacks of bleed on a target with 1 strike (3).
