Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Law have mastered the balance between their two studies; perfectly blending their Law practices into their Bardic spell-crafts. The harrowing experience of judicial education has only strengthened your connection to your desired art-form and the magic that it fuels. Bards with this subclass have a much more structured understanding of their arcane abilities and can utilise their spell casting for more practical applications.
Pre-requisites:
Your Lifestyle must be of Modest or Higher you use this subclass. If your character is poor or squalid, you may make a d20 roll to determine if you have outside funding.
If you roll a 15 or Higher, you are entitled to a scholarship and don't have to pay anything. a 10-14, you must pay 30gp of student loans every time you take a level in this class. On a 9 or Lower, you cannot take this subclass and must choose another one.
Judicial Proficiency
At 3rd Level, you gain proficiency in one (1) additional skill of your choice from the following lists.
Prosecutor (characters who value truth and strive to uphold the formal structure of the law): Insight, Perception, Investigation
Attorney (characters who value empathy and strive to uphold the legal rights of their community): Persuasion, Deception, Intimidation
Objection
As a reaction, you can spend a point of inspiration to contest a creatures saving throw, skill check, and attack rolls and force them to re-roll. You have a number of charges per. day equal to half your current Bard level (minimum of one) which increases by one every even level (eg. 4th and 5th level = 2 charges).
Call for a Recess
When you miss an attack against a creature within range, you can spend a point of inspiration to disengage as a bonus action.
Prosecution Rests
On a critical spell attack, the creature you hit must make a Wisdom saving thrown against your Spell Save DC. On a failed save, they become stunned until their next turn when they can make another save.
On Behalf of the Jury
When you use your bonus action to give Bardic Inspiration, you can know extend this to a maximum of three (3) creatures you can see within range. The creatures you inspire also gain advantage on all Charisma Saving Throws for the next minute.
