Bard
Base Class: Bard

In the stark, dull land of Bugaria, residents have to use much of what they collect to survive. This leaves little room for instruments, or leisure in general. However, over time, they have innovated and developed strange methods of creating their own form of music. By using their insectoid features, frequently quick-flapping wings, they created intense, harmonious hums that they paired to create eerie music with intense, physically tangible vibrato. College of Drones bard use this style, sometimes adapting the style with actual instruments or voices, but always creating intense, drawn-out waves of music.

Strategic Inspiration

At 3rd level when you take this subclass, you fuse the military structure of Bugaria with its strange melodies. When you grant a creature inspiration, it can use its reaction to immediately make a melee attack and add the inspiration die to the attack roll and damage, if it hits. Alternatively, if you are within 10 feet of the creature, they may use their reaction to switch places with you if you both are willing in a tactical bait and switch. If the creature takes this option, you both gain a +2 to your armor class until the start of your next turn.

Meditation Hum

Beginning at level 3, as a bonus action, you can begin a hum that fills your mind and maintain it with a bonus action on subsequent turns. While humming in this way, you have advantage on wisdom, charisma, and intelligence saving throws. You can use this trait once, ending when you spend a turn and do not maintain it. You regain use of this trait on a long rest.

Drowning Drone

Starting at 6th Level, you can emit a continuous, full noise that makes it hard to think. As a bonus action, you can emit a mind-filling hum, and any creature of your choice within 60 feet of you that can hear you immediately drops concentration on any spell or affect they are concentrating on and becomes incapable of concentrating on spells until the end of their next turn. You can use this feature once, and regain use of it on a long rest.

Deadly Resonance

At 14th level, your mastery of the drone allows you to understand the resonant frequencies of everything around you. As an action, you can emit a powerful wave of sound at the resonant frequency of a creature of your choice. Choose a creature within 30 feet of you, and force them to make a constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed saving throw, they take necrotic damage equal to three times your bard level as their very molecules want to come apart from the vibrations. On a success, they take half as much. Whether or not they succeed or fail, their speed is reduced to 0 until the end of their next turn as their muscles fail to hold control. You can use this feature once, regaining use of it on a long rest.
