Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Sworn to protect the timeline from those who would seek to change it, for better or worse. Time magic is powerful and dangerous, and you have been entrusted to learn small tastes of it's power in order to better uphold your oath and protect the greater timeline from being altered.

The Paladins of this oath are an order that hails from the desert, and as such tend not to wear heavy armor. Talk to your DM about possibly trading off your heavy armor proficiency for another tool or fighting style. When choosing a deity consider how second chances are important to you. Do you believe the sands of time flow in only one direction? Or do you believe in the ability to flip the hourglass and start anew?

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of The Hourglass Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.

Corrupting Sands - As a bonus action I can invoke the sands of time to slow my enemies. For 1 minute each successful melee attack slows the targets speed by 10ft until the start of my next turn. If targets speed is reduced to 0 it is fully encased in sand and is considered restrained. Restrained creature can use its action to make STR save to free itself.

Temporal Rewind - As a reaction I can teleport to an unoccupied space within 30ft that I have previously been within the last minute.

Aura of the Sandstorm

Beginning at 7th level a small sandstorm surrounds you in a 10ft radius and any creatures of your choice that enter or start their turn in the aura must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be blinded. They can repeat the saving throw at the end of their turn if they are no longer within the radius. The radius also counts as rough terrain for enemies.

This radius increases to 30ft at 18th level.

Coercing Sands

Starting at 15th level, when a creature I can see within 30ft drops to 0 HP I can use my reaction to have the sands carry them through one final attack action against a creature of my choice within their range of attack. The creature uses their own stats for the attack. If the creature is within my sandstorm aura for this attack, it can add my Charisma modifier to it's attack roll. Can be used a number of times per long rest equal to my Charisma modifier.

Emissary of the Hourglass

At 20th level, as an action I can rewind time 6 seconds/1 round of combat. Any spent spell slots/class feats, items, hit points etc. within the last round are returned, positions are returned to the previous round. Time everywhere is affected but I can choose whether any creature within 30 of me will be aware of the time jump or not.

Once used, you immediately suffer 1 level of exhaustion and this feature cannot be used again until finishing 1d4 long rests. Your DM may also determine if the use of this feature has been within the boundaries of your oath and any consequences that may bring.
