Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of the Culinary arts is a rather new and overlooked oath, seeking to bring goodness to the world through the arts of cuisine. An oath of the Culinary arts paladin cares not for the tenets of law or chaos but merely good, whether that be cooking, baking or any of the other esteemed professions in the culinary world. To bring a smile to people's face when they take a bite of your finest meal is their goal. To feel the satisfaction of hearing someone praise your cooking is what this oath seeks.

Paladins of this oath also face the task of aiding in the preservation of old and almost forgotten culinary culture and art. It is a difficult task but a necessary one as the knowledge and culture of the past is essential to advancing the art of fine cuisine.

Chanel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Aura of Fulfilment

Starting at 7th level, you constantly emanate an aura that brings happy memories of family meals and the feeling felt after enjoying a good meal, to any creatures of your choice within ten feet of you. The aura extends 10 feet in every direction, but not through total cover.

All creatures of the player's choice within range gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the player's charisma modifier (minimum of 1) plus your proficiency bonus. Additionally these creatures also gain a bonus to Persuasion checks equal to your proficiency bonus.

At 18th level the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Soul of Spice

Starting at 15th level you can cause incredible amounts of magical spices to asail an enemy when they attempt to attack your allies. When a creature within 60 feet of you makes a ranged or melee attack towards one of your allies you can cause spices to go into their eyes and mouth to stun them as a reaction. The creature must make a constitution saving throw. On a fail the target is blinded by the spices and automatically misses the attack roll and is affected with the blinded condition. As an action the creature can wipe their eyes ending the effect on themselves. This lasts until removed. On a success the creature has disadvantage on the attack and any other attacks they make until the end of the round.

Master Chef

At 20th level as an action, you can summon the soul of the greatest chefs of history, into yourself, making you an avatar of food for a minute.

  • You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage from non magical weapons and resistance to psychic and fire damage.
  • When a creature hits you, you rebuke their culinary skills and insult them. When a creature hits you it takes psychic damage equal to 1d8+your charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
  • When you use a healing spell that requires a dice roll, the roll will always be max and when you use your lay on hands you may double the amount of hit points returned with no additional cost.

Once you use this feature you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
