Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Remedies have a deep understanding of the healing properties that art can have. They use songs, poetry, visual wonders, and well-timed fables to knit together wounds and salve over harmful effects. With a song they can heal a broken heart, and with a comforting word they can restore confidence to their allies. It is no easy feat to create art that heals both mental and physical pain - Bards of the College of Remedies understand creating their art isn't always without a price.

Well Meaning Word

Your words encourage allies to push a little further. You learn the guidance cantrip, which doesn’t count against the number of bard cantrips you know. For you, it has a range of 60 feet when you cast it.

Performance of Remedies

When you join the College of Remedies at 3rd level, you gain the ability to infuse your performance with healing magic that imbues your allies with strength and vigor.

As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to grant yourself an aura of support. When you do so, choose a number of creatures you can see and that can see you within 60 feet of you, up to a number equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). Each of them gains 5 temporary hit points. When a creature gains these temporary hit points, it can immediately use its reaction gain resistance to one damage type until the start of its next turn.

The number of temporary hit points increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 8 at 5th level, 11 at 10th level, and 14 at 15th level.

Resonating Remedies

Starting at 6th level, your healing spells are more effective. Whenever you use a spell of 1st level or higher to restore hit points to a creature, choose one or more creatures (including yourself) equal the spell's level. The chosen creature or creatures also regain the same hit points as the original target.

Mantle of Protection

At 14th level, your very appearance bolsters and grants strength to your allies.

Instead of rolling a dice, an ally you have imbued with Bardic Inspiration can instead choose to expend their inspiration and gain resistance to all forms of damage. The ally can wait until after an attack, spell or abilities hits, but it must decide to use the Bardic Inspiration before the DM says what the total damage dealt is. Once the damage has been dealt, the resistance ends.
