Base Class: Barbarian
Among the primitive tribes of the world are those who call upon the powers of nature to inspire his people to unheard of levels of skill in battle. Through rhythmic chants and simple refrains, the skald arouses his inner spirit, and draws upon the strength and rage of his tribesmen to bolster his attacks, heighten his awareness, and provide increased protection to ensure victory against his enemies.
War Musician
When you choose this subclass at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Performance and one musical instrument of your choice.
Hymn of Battle
Starting at 3rd level, you can perform a Hymn of Battle when you enter a rage. Allies within 60 feet of you that can see and hear you gain temporary Hit Points equal to your level + your Strength modifier and gain the following benefits while the rage is active:
- Advantage on Strength ability checks and Strength saving throws.
- The first time a creature under the effects of your Hymn of Battle hits with a attack on each of their turns, they gain a bonus to the damage roll equal to your Rage damage bonus.
Reckless Dissonance
Starting at 6th level, as a Bonus action on your turn you can designate one creature under the effects of your Hymn of Battle.
On its next turn, the target has Advantage on attack rolls, but attacks against your ally are made with advantage until the start of its next turn. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of this ability at the end of a long rest.
Battle Cry
Starting at 10th level, once per Rage you can let out a fearsome shout that shakes your enemies to the bone.
As an Action, you force each creature of your choice that can see and hear you within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + Prof + Constitution Modifier). On a failed save, a creature becomes frightened of you for 1 minute. The frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Undying song
Starting at 14th level, while under the effects of Hymn of Battle, having 0 hit points doesn't knock them unconscious. They still must make death saving throw, and suffer the normal effects of taking damage while at 0 hit points.
