Base Class: Barbarian
Those who walk the Path of the Titan are defined by the expanse of their rage. Barbarians who follow this path learn to fight without weapons, channeling their wrath to grant them tremendous might. This power changes who and what they are. These warriors, simply known as Titans, are terrifying forces of nature. They most often dwell on the outskirts of civilization, as their power can overwhelm and frighten those that witness it.
Might of the Titan
The power within you has changed your being. When you choose this path at 3rd level, you learn to speak, read, and write Giant. You also count as a giant for the purposes of creature type and spell effects. Additionally when you enter a rage, you gain the following benefits:
- You grow one size larger, for example a medium creature becomes large.
- Your unarmed strikes deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d10 plus your Strength modifier. Additionally, your unarmed strikes count as melee weapons for the purposes of your rage and other similar effects.
- Once on each of your turns, one of your unarmed strikes can deal an extra damage to a target on a hit. This damage equals your rage bonus.
Titan Specialization
At 6th level, your transformation reaches a new stage. Choose between Armored, Attack, or Beast. The effects of your new form are based on your choice.
If your form’s effects require a saving throw, the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier.
Armored Type
The Armored Titans are often bulkier than the others. Rock hard plating covers most of its form making it look stiff and rigid. They can take crushing blows and destroy buildings with ease. While raging, you gain the following benefits:
- Your AC is increased by your Rage bonus.
- Your unarmed attacks gain the siege property (your attacks deal double damage to objects and structures).
Attack Type
The Attack Titans are thinner and quicker than their kin. Their faces have sharp features and pointed ears. They move with deadly, swift precision to crush their enemies. While raging, you gain the following benefits:
- You add your Rage bonus to the attack rolls for your unarmed strikes.
- Your unarmed strikes score a critical hit on a roll of 19.
Beast Type
The Beast Titans have lanky limbs and heavy builds. They can throw rocks and other objects to devastating effect. The fur that distinguishes them from other Titans is usually a darker shade of orange or brown. While raging, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a new attack option that you can use with the Attack action. This attack uses the terrain around you, similar to a giant's rock throw. It counts as a ranged weapon attack with a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Strength modifier to its attack and damage rolls. It deals bludgeoning damage, and its damage die is a d8. Additionally you can add your Rage bonus to the damage.
- Once per rage, you can use your action to let loose a screaming howl. Choose a number of allies equal to your proficiency bonus, these creatures must be within 30 feet of you and must be able to hear you. The chosen creatures can add your rage bonus to all melee damage rolls until the start of your next turn.
Consume the Opposition
At 10th level, a savage hunger has awoken inside you. When you make a reckless attack while raging, you can make a single bite attack a bonus action. This attack counts as an unarmed strike, deals piercing damage equal to 1d4 plus your Strength modifier. If this attack hits a hostile target, you choose to gain a benefit based on your chosen type of Titan. You can gain the benefit of this attack a number of times equal to your Strength modifier, and regain all expended uses at the end of a long rest.
Armored Type - Bolstered Defenses
When you hit a hostile target with your bite attack, you gain temporary hit points equal to your barbarian level.
Attack Type - Blood Frenzy
When you hit a hostile target with your bite attack, your next unarmed strike that hits deals extra damage equal to a d8.
Beast Type - Belligerent Appetite
When you hit a hostile target with your bite attack, you regain one use of your Beast Howl action.
True Titan
At 14th level, the strength of your transformation has reached its peak. You gain benefits based on your chosen type of Titan. Additionally, when you enter a rage, you can choose to grow two sizes larger instead of one and while you are this size your reach is increased by 5 feet.
Armored Type - Total Defense
When you take damage, you can use your reaction to roll a d6. Add your Strength modifier to the number rolled and reduce the damage by that total.
Attack Type - Swift Strike
When you take the Attack action to make an unarmed strike on your turn, you can use your bonus action to make one unarmed strike. This special attack's damage die is a d6 as opposed to a d8. You add any damage bonus as you would to any unarmed strike.
Beast Type - Break Shot
You can, as an action, make a special ranged attack in place of your Beast Throw attack. This attack covers a 15 foot cone directly in front of you. All creatures in the cone must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, they take piercing damage equal to 2d8 plus your Strength modifier.
