Base Class: Cleric
There is nothing more important for the mind and soul than happiness, and yet is often one of the most neglected aspects of life. Many do not have time to focus on their own happiness, being too busy with work or bogged down my terrible circumstances such as war, poverty or famine. As a result, gods whop reside over the domain of joy emphasise mental health and enjoyment, taking care of yourself and your friends and living life to its fullest. Joy is about finding the wonder in even the tiniest happenstance, and those who are naturally happy and relaxed tend to excel as worshippers.
The gods of this domain are those that encourage happiness and togetherness. Some prefer large gatherings and parties, vast banquets where the wine flows. Others enjoy quiet nights in with a good story. Whatever the method, all gods of joy ask their followers to take pride in who they are and liberate those that are caged both physically and mentally.

Bonus Proficiency
When you choose this domain at level 1, you gain proficiency in the persuasion skill.
Embodied Happiness
When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain the ability to channel joy and happiness into pure motes of emotion. When a friendly creature that you can see rolls a natural 17 or higher (before modifiers) on a d20 for an attack roll, ability check or saving throw, you can channel that energy into a mote of joy which you store inside your soul. You also gain 1 mote of joy whenever finishing a long rest. You can have a maximum number of motes of joy stored equal to your proficiency bonus.
As a reaction, you can expend 1 mote of joy to give a friendly creature that you can see within 60 feet advantage on an attack roll, ability check or saving throw. You must decide to give a creature advantage on a roll before it rolls the d20.
Channel Divinity: Bolster Confidence
At 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to boost the courage of your allies.
As an action, you present your holy symbol and emotionally reach out to your companions. All friendly creatures within 30ft gain temporary hit points equal to 2d8 + your cleric level and gain advantage on any saving throws made to resist being frightened for the next hour.
Positive Outlook
From 6th level, your positivity is powerful and infectious. Whilst you have at least 1 mote of joy stored within your soul, you are immune to the frightened condition. Additionally, you gain the following action:
- Share Positivity. As a bonus action, you choose a creature that you can see within 60 feet that can hear you to share your optimistic viewpoint with. That creature has disadvantage on all Wisdom or Charisma saving throws (your choice) until the start of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, and you regain all uses upon finishing a long rest.
Potent Spellcasting
Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.
Triumphant Incarnation
From 17th level, you are a paragon of joy, freedom and mental wellbeing. You gain advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma saving throws. Additionally, whenever you give a creature advantage on a roll using one of your motes of joy, that creature regains hit points equal to 1d6 + your Wisdom modifier.
