Base Class: Fighter
Brawler are fighters who have trained extensively in unarmed combat, favouring their fists over weapons. Brawlers excel at delivering a devastating rush of quick attacks and defending themselves in close-quarters.
Brawling
Starting when you choose this subclass at 3rd level, you gain the following benefits:
- You can choose an additional fighting style from the options of unarmed fighting, blind fighting, or thrown weapon fighting.
- When you use the Attack action with an unarmed strike on your turn, you can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action.
- You gain resistance to bludgeoning damage.
Blind Fighting
You have blindsight with a range of 10 feet. Within that range, you can effectively see anything that isn’t behind total cover, even if you’re blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature within that range, unless the creature successfully hides from you.
Thrown Weapon Fighting
You can draw a weapon that has the thrown property as part of the attack you make with the weapon.
In addition, when you hit with a ranged attack using a thrown weapon, you gain a +2 bonus to the damage roll.
Unarmed Fighting
Your unarmed strikes can deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier on a hit. If you aren’t wielding any weapons or a shield when you make the attack roll, the d6 becomes a d8.
At the start of each of your turns, you can deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage to one creature grappled by you.
Unarmored Defense
Starting when you choose this subclass at 3rd level, while you are wearing no armor or wielding a shield your AC becomes equal to 10 + your dexterity modifier + your constitution modifier.
Nimble Dodge
Starting at 7th level, when an enemy you can see within 10 feet hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to halve the attack’s damage against you.
Unarmored Movement
Starting at 7th level, while you are wearing no armor and not wearing a shield your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
Brawling Prowess
Starting at 10th level, you gain the following abilities:
- While you are unarmed, you can choose to make an opportunity attack without using your reaction. If you do so, you deal 4 damage.
- Before you make an unarmed strike, you can choose to take a -5 penalty to the attack roll. If the attack hits, you add +10 to the attack's damage.
Iron Fist
Starting at 10th level, your unarmed strikes are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming immunity and resistance to nonmagical attacks
Counter Strike
Starting at 15th level, when an enemy you can see within 5 feet fails an attack roll against you, you can make an opportunity attack.
Hardened Body
When you gain this feature at 15th level, your hit point maximum increases by 15, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.
Master of the Ring
Starting at 18th level, all enemies that you can see within 5 feet have disadvantage on attack rolls made against you.
