Base Class: Monk
The Way of Earth students train their mind and body to interact with and control earth. Many masters will spend years meditating inside caves to further become one with the element. When focusing their ki, they are able to use the solid and defensive nature of earth to dominate their opponents.
Earthen Fortification
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you surround yourself stone as you and connect yourself to the earth. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 ki points to become one with the earth for 1 minute. You gain an earthen armor and can summon walls of earth or stone from the ground.
The earthen armor gives you temporary hit points equal to twice your monk level. This armor lasts for 1 minute or you run out of temporary hit points. When the armor is created you can choose whether or not to have it cover your face. If it covers your face, you get a + to your AC equal to half your proficiency bonus rounded down and are blinded. During the minute, you can spend an additional ki point as a bonus action to regain your armor and temporary hit points equal to 1 martial arts die. These temporary hit points can add up to remaining the max number of temporary hit point allowed by this ability but not exceed them.
As a bonus action, you can summon a wall from the ground that is 5ft. high and 10ft. long anywhere within 15ft. of you. If the wall cuts through a creature's space when it appears, the creature is pushed to one side of the wall (your choice). The wall can have any shape you desire, though it can't occupy the same space as a creature or object. The wall will have an AC of 14 and hit points equal to 3 times your monk level.
This ability can only be used if you are touching stone, earth, or something akin to it (DM's discretion). Earthen armor does not stack with and is not affected by temporary hit points given in another way.
Earth Control
At 3rd level, you gain the ability to control and move earth and stone. You gain access to the cantrips Magic Stone and Mold Earth.
You also get a tremorsense equal to 5ft. times your proficiency bonus.
Improved Earthen Armor
At 6th level, your armor is better suited for combat. While you have your earthen armor on, you have resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
In place of an attack, you can spend temporary hit points of your armor to make a ranged weapon attack. The attack does 1d6 bludgeoning damage for every 2 temporary hit points spent and has a (20ft./60ft.) range. You can't roll more d6 than half your monk level rounded up.
You move normally through difficult terrain made up of earth or stone.
Earthen Domination
At 11th level, you gain greater control of the earth. You can spend 3 ki points to use the spell Stone Shape without material components.
You can also use your Earthen Wall ability to lift up a 5 foot by 5 foot platform up to 15 feet in the air. The earth supporting the platform only has as many hit points as your level.
Earthen Fortress
At 17th level, you have learned how to make yourself one with the earth. Your Earthen Fortification is now much stronger.
Your earthen armor now increases your size to large and unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage while you have your armor on. Your armor also gives you resistance to all damage other than magical bludgeoning, piercing, slashing, and psychic damage. You may also add your Wisdom modifier to your rolls when restoring your earthen armor.
Your earthen wall can now be raised 10ft. high and 20ft. long.
