Base Class: Sorcerer
A DnDBeyond implementation of a homebrewed subclass that I set up for my friend who found it online. Reuploaded to fix the AC formula from Crystalline Skin.
Mirror Soul Spells
You learn additional spells at certain levels, which do not count towards the maximum number of Sorcerer spells you know.
| Mirror Soul Spells | |
|---|---|
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
| 1st | Shield |
| 3rd | Mirror Image |
| 5th | Counterspell |
| 7th | Banishment |
| 9th | Wall of Force |
Crystalline Skin
At 1st level, your hardened soul manifests physically as harder skin. When you're not wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Constitution modifier.
Additionally, your hit point maximum increases by 1 for every level you have in this class.
Shattered Luck
Also at 1st level, whenever a creature deals damage to you with a spell or attack, they have disadvantage on their next attack roll, ability check or saving throw.
Reflected Punishment
Starting at 6th level, when you successfully end a spell with Counterspell or Dispel Magic, you can spend a number of sorcery points equal to the spells level to absorb it.
This spell becomes a sorcerer spell for you until you finish a long rest, and you can cast it once without expending a spell slot.
Absorbed Talent
At 14th level, you can use an action to touch a creature and force it to make a Constitution saving throw against your spellcasting DC (the target can choose to intentionally fail this save). On a failure, you gain one of the following abilities that the affected creature possess:
- Proficiency with a weapon.
- Proficiency in up to three skills.
- Proficiency in a saving throw.
- A spell of a level you can cast.
- One class or subclass feature granted at 9th level or earlier.
Having a talent drained is a harrowing process, and makes a creature suffer one level of exhaustion.
You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum once), and you regain all uses on finishing a long rest, which also causes you to loose any talents you already have absorbed.
Parasitic Connection
Starting at 18th level, when you use Absorb Talent or Reflected Punishment, you can force the target to make a Constitution saving throw against your spellcasting DC. On a failiure, they they take 8d6 necrotic damage, or half as much on a successful save. Once you use this effect, you cannot do so again until you finish a short rest.
Additionally, abilities and spells gained from Absorbed Talent and Reflected Punishment can now be used for a week rather than being lost on a long rest.
