Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

This was really just made for me or my players. Use it if you like, steal some of the features, come up with your own deathly story to fit, I don't really care.

Death's Eyes

Starting at 1st level, you can see normally in both magical and non-magical darkness out to a range of 120 feet. As well, you have advantage on any ability checks made to determine if a creature is alive, dead, or undead.

Reaper's Scythe

Starting at 1st level, you may materialize a deathly scythe to reap the body and soul of others. As an action, you may summon a spectral scythe to appear within 60 feet of you. As part of the same action, you may cause the scythe to make a melee spell attack towards a target within 5 feet of it. The scythe deals 1d8 slashing damage on a hit. The slashing damage is considered magical for overcoming resistance and immunity.
The damage of this scythe increases to 2d8 at 5th level, 3d8 at 11th level, and 4d8 at 17th level.

On your turn, you may forgo your movement to instead move the scythe. The scythe may not move further than 60 feet away from you. As well, you may use your action to attack again with the scythe. At 3rd level, you may spend 2 sorcery points to cause the scythe to make an attack as a bonus action.

The scythe lasts for 1 minute, until you lose concentration(as though you were concentrating on a spell), or until you fall unconscious. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier(minimum of once), and regain all uses at the end of a short or long rest.

Shadow Walk

At 6th level, you gain the ability to move through shadows faster than others. When you are in dim light or darkness, your movement speed is doubled. As well, by spending 2 sorcery points, you may magically teleport up to 60 feet into another area of dim light or darkness as a bonus action.

Life Sense

At 14th level, you gain the ability to see the life forces of creatures near you. You can sense all living and undead creatures within 120 feet. You can not determine anything other than if the creature is living or undead, however you know the general location of the creature as you see a slight reddish or bluish glow in the location of the creature, as well creatures do not gain the benefit of being unseen by you. This sense penetrates walls and barriers and is only blocked by magic that shields a creature from divination magic.

Shadowskin

At 18th level, you gain the ability to take the form of a wispy black spectral shadow. As a bonus action, you may take this form. While in this form, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain resistance to slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage from non-magical weapons.
  • You gain a flying speed equal to twice your walking speed, and can hover.
  • You may move through objects and creatures as though they are difficult terrain, taking 1d10 force damage if you end your turn inside a creature or object.
  • You have advantage on saving throws against being paralyzed, petrified and poisoned.
  • You can not be subject to exhaustion, and can not be grappled or restrained.
  • You may become invisible as a bonus action when in dim light or darkness.
  • You may summon your Reaper's Scythe without expending a use.
  • You have advantage on Con saves made to maintain your concentration Reaper's Scythe.

When you use this feature, you may choose to spend sorcery points to increase the duration. The form lasts for a number of hours equal to 1 + half of the sorcery points spent. The form ends early if you fall unconscious, or if you choose to end it early(no action required).
