Base Class: Rogue
The shadow assasin was born from an ancient race of ninja, the great and powerful Hanabira tribe who controlled all of Entaiya for hundreds of generations. They manipulated Dimensional Petals to become some of the strongest warriors in history, including the Bakahatsu Samurai and the Kagayaku Hanabira ninja. However, when the Generational War cut the country in half, the revolutionists known as the Shadowed Cult began searching for a stronger way to manipulate the Dimensional Petals. In the darkness of the Shadow Plane they found the Gloomy Petals, so distinctly different from the Shining and Crimson Petals that had been wielded in the past, and controlled them to connect their souls to the darkness. From that darkness a new ninja was born. The shadow assasin.
Shadow Bonding
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level you become partially bonded with the shadows. One of your eyes, if present, turns pitch black, the other losing all pigment and turning stark white. You can now speak a variant of the language Abyssal, which can only be spoken by shadow demons and other shadow assasins.
Darkness Heightened Stealth
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level you begin to fade into the shadows around you, allowing you to hide in darkness. While completely covered by shadow or darkness, you automatically succeed all stealth checks and rolls.
Gloomy Petal Armor
Petals fly towards you from out of thin air, like a blossom from a sakura tree. Except these petals are as dark as night. They latch onto you and harden like steel, forming a multi layered scale-like armor that is completely weightless, yet stronger than any armor. Beginning at 9th level, as an action on your turn, you may choose to conjure your Petal Armor. While the armor is active, your AC is automatically set to 18, and it increases your physical ability as well. You gain +1 to Dexterity and Strength.
Shadow Strike
This killing blow is the trademark of the shadow assasins. It brutally dismantles an enemy, sometimes in an instant. Starting at level 13, by manipulating the petals from around you, you can now enchant your weapon with Gloomy Petals by focusing for 30 seconds. Once finished, black petals wrap around your chosen blade, enhancing it. It now, no matter what weapon it is, does 1d12 + 5 base damage on a hit, exluding all other bonuses. In addition, if it hits an enemy who is unprepared, such as one who is unaware of your presence, it will do the damage multiplying the final product by 4 and knocking your enemy prone.
Full Darkness Transformation
You have now become one with the darkness, a perfect epitome of the Gloomy Petal's true power. When in a space of dim light or darker, you can teleport anywhere you wish in that space, on your turn as a bonus action. You also gain +1 to all of your abilities, and an increased passive perception of 20. In addition, you can summon your Gloomy Petal Armor using a bonus action while in light level Darkness.
